Following on from our last communication in June which included a video message from Lotus Cars Managing Director, Matt Windle, I want to update you further on your order timing. In the video, Matt shared details around the delays being dealt with at the time.
While I am pleased to advise that production of Australian cars commenced this week, the global supply chain has not improved to the levels originally forecast and the production catch back plan that was in place at the time is no longer possible to achieve. Consequently, less Emiras will be built in 2022 than originally planned.

This afternoon I received the following email from my local Calgary dealer. Overall, it's the same core message as the other Lotus emails that have been doing the rounds lately, but it's nice to see this one was written in the dealership's own words, and includes special mention about demo cars and test drives, "hopefully before the snow flies". Also, in my opinion this email seems to be less mealy-mouthed overall than the one from Lotus, for whatever that's worth...
In any case, it's at least exciting to have the arrival of demo cars & test drives to look forward to this fall! Heck, even seeing an Emira in the flesh finally would be...
Just like lots of people I placed a deposit on the new Emira ( 7th July 2021 ) I have been monitoring this forum for a short time and appreciate all the information people have posted , I wanted to know if anyone can help with what happens if you do get the 30 day call and you decide its not a good time for you to go ahead and pay final payment ! what choices if any do you have ?

In the last few days, UK dealers/agents have been getting paperwork(agreements) from Lotus regarding their loan cars, which are production test cars for the likes of you and me to drive.
The cars have trackers and will be geo-fenced.
Anticipated deliveries are 1st-2nd week in August.
This is big news that I haven't seen reported here, unless I've simply missed it.
