Wanted to share my correspondence with customer service today. CS reached out to see how my test drive went over the weekend. I replied and asked for updates regarding US delivery timing and this is what I got...
Plenty of Emira safety car track action during the season finale of the British GT Championship at Donington Park today. Look out for Emira GT4 class series participation in 2023, starts at Oulton Park on 10th April 2023.

“Emira named "Sports Car of the Year" at the News UK Motor Awards 2022
A year after Lotus was honoured as ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ at the News UK Motor Awards 2021, the Lotus Emira has brought another award back to Hethel, having been named ‘Sports Car of the Year’ at the News UK Motor Awards.
The award was received on behalf of Lotus by Nigel Bromley, Head of Brand Marketing, from David Green, Motoring Editor for The Times LUXX magazine and John Pienaar, Times Radio presenter and political journalist.”
*(apologies if i have already missed this post)*
At least they have finally changed the dates on the website, from Spring 2022......
I still have 0 faith it will be 2022, and i guess we have already missed Q3..... bit of a pointless change
Q3 2023 for Base... (my arse)
Today, I visited the Mclaren Technology Centre where their cars are designed and assembled.
I got chatting to one of their tech-type guys and talked Lotus, which he has an association30-year history.
He said the Emira is fantastic to drive, ignore the journalists, with a great road engine and transmission. It's more than adequate for the road. Sure, it will be beaten for times by some but it has that Lotus DNA. He said the engine and transmission are proven and that ticks the box.
I thought it was encouraging that a Mclaren employee was praiseworthy about the Emira.....even though that's what I wanted to hear.
