Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

here is a run i did a few days ago on the 93 map. think its about 4sec 7-60mph rolling start.
i didnt hit redline so its not ideal. the car is lighter with tillett b10's and antigrav battery.

I think the most telling thing about this video is the 1.2 g of acceleration. I think in stock form I've never gotten it over .8 or so!

At first didn't really notice much of a difference on Map 1 but once I did a pull I could feel the top end gains. Trapped 3 mph better so 110mph vs 107. Was my worst launch of the runs so no time improvement but definitely can run faster as every time I'm bogging down bad. I'm on the Cup2 tires as well so they need even more revs to really hook and go.

I switched to the 93 Oct tune on the way back and could see an even bigger difference and I'll try to get back out soon. I'm actually battling the Flu or something at the moment and really tried to do this between waves of feeling terrible.

I did take a data log of this run too

Bro, go inside and rest! Thanks for doing this though. Let the tune smooth out after a bit of driving and do these runs again next week or whenever you're feeling better.

Welllllll! I broke an axle or something went to test quarter mile on the 93 octane tune (feels awesome BTW much more punch) but launched at right around 4000 and immediately the car just felt like it was in neutral and now I can fully let out the clutch in gear and you can hear something rotating and car doesn't stall.

So I know most of us know this but DO NOT clutch dump or even soft launch these cars. Waiting on the tow truck now. Really hope it's not internal to the trans but I'll get it sorted regardless.

Oh no!! Man, I told you to go inside.

@Six Speed Stephen knows a thing or two about broken Emira axles.

So... do we blame the flu, or is there something to this weak drivetrain "FUD"? :awkward-seal:

I'm totally fine with blaming the flu. la la la la la la la.

Multiple people have sheered an axle doing launches on the Emira on stock power and torque including a professional car review channel.

I hadn't saw that good to know. Hopefully an axle is a pretty straightforward job. Having it towed to my shop.

Man sorry to hear that. I don't really launch the Emira from a dig just out of an abundance of caution but it's a bit concerning that a 4K launch killed it. I guess we'll all have to be even a little extra careful if we're running it hotter than stock. Hope you get it sorted out quickly.

Woof. Thank you for your service - I feel like we all owe you a chip in for repair! If you're ever in Austin, Texas I'll at least buy you a beer!

If their is a silver lining here. It's this.. finding out what exactly happened and how to prevent this will help out Emira owners on this forum tremendously.. especially those who have purchased the JB4. Sorry it happened. Duly noted that Corey took the sacrifice. Hope you get it sorted out soon and affordably.
