I live in Tokyo and Just had a call from dealer yesterday, the FE pricing in Japan is 13,500,000 jpy tax included (which is about 118,206 USD given the current exchange rate) Which is bit surprising, as this is more expensive than the basic 718 GT4 (13,100,000 JPY) I think this is because the Japan yen is getting weaker recently The pricing makes me having second thought on if i should go for a second hand GT4 instead. What do you guys think ?

According to an email from Lotus of Naples, Lotus will be releasing pricing information for the USA on October 1st, 2021!
Lotus just dropped all the nitty gritty details on the Emira First Edition, and it even provided European pricing. Unfortunately, we’re being told to wait for official U.S. pricing information, but this gives us a general idea of what to expect. We’ll start this off by letting you know that an Emira First Edition is fully loaded up with options, making it extra expensive. Europeans will be paying €95,995 for the model, and in case you’re in the U.K., your price is £75,995. The Euro equivalent is $112,000 at today’s exchange rates, while the pound sterling equivalent is about $104,000. Without U.S.-specific pricing available yet, it’s impossible to nail down an exact figure. That said, expect it to be around $100,000 or a little more...
Hey all, UK prices are up. Base Edition from £59,995 and FE from £75,995. About what was expected although well done to Lotus as car prices here have risen significantly over the last few months and they have kept to their promise of 'From £60k'. Also for all those criticising Lotus regarding the I4 engine, they are stating that FE I4 Turbocharged available Autumn 2022. This is an acceptable time, don't forget the are going to push their engine first to get rid of stock. Also with all the parts shortages we are seeing on most electronics in the UK at the moment, I am surprised they are able to build one car!
Got an email from Lotus with my reference number. The interesting item in the email was this Black Emira, yes give us that color, it would be my pick over the yellow/ black roof that I configured online.

Lotus has terminated contracts with several franchised dealerships in the UK as part of a "restructuring" of its retail network to coincide with the launch of the Emira. The move has sparked concerns that the availability of parts for second-hand Lotus models – already a concern for owners – could be restricted. According to a forum post from Maidstone Sports Cars, itself affected, the list of businesses that will no longer be official Lotus retailers includes Hangar 111 in Woodbridge, Rapid Mechanical Services in Romford, SJ Sports Cars in Crediton and at least four more outfits.
