VF Tuner for the Lotus Emira

- Sending in a second ECU ********that has already been programmed for your car by Lotus****************
Quick idea I'd like to throw in, maybe it's not possible at all, but you can do a full ECU reload using the Lotus Aftermarket Independent dealer platform. Anyone tried it on a blank ECU yet? Probably needs to be paired to the car already but should be a easy enough check..

Would you like steak or shrimp
My system is fine after using all the JUBU parts and 2 separate coolers for the auto transmission
Dude, I love you, and you’re misunderstood on here, not entirely unlike mat. If I had to have a root canal on the fifth ave sidewalk during rush hour, you’re the only dentist I’d choose.

I’m also thrilled they’ve solved your temps issue! (Also tho it’s colder out)

But, maybe you could consider starting your own build thread or discussing all the Jubu stuff in Jubu thread. Thats all I’m saying.

Re: Jubu telling you that lotus is using their hoses: Jubu is using the evora hoses.

Finally, Martin is not my favorite Martin. I wouldn’t automatically believe what he says. In the 2gr villages, the children call him the endbringer.

I could possibly attempt this if someone brought me a blank ecu. I have the tools.

Great summary post, this is clear and concise. Thank you for that!

Is the VF tuning GUI defined for the user to access these tables?
What tables can you, the end user access?
- Complete and total throttle tables
- Throttle / accelerator translation tables
- The ENTIRE Ignition Control logic
- The ENTIRE Fuel Control logic, including O2 Sensor control, delay (important if anyone goes Long tubes?)
- AFR Targets
- Rev limits (all conditions)
- Compensation tables
- Valve Timing Tables
- MAP / MAF / other sensor scalings
- Diagnostic controls (even including diagnostics reference Torque values)
- Intercooler Pump tables
- and hundreds more.

UPDATE 11/6/2026
The all in one, condensed update, with the latest dyno results, and data!

FIRST. What is available? What is the status?
What is available, what has been confirmed working (completely issue free), and what does not work.

What is CONFIRMED WORKING without any issues:
- Sending your ORIGINAL ECU in for unlocking (any / all models 24/25/26 MY)
- Sending in a second ECU ********that has already been programmed for your car by Lotus****************

What DOES NOT WORK:
- Sending a BLANK ECU for cloning.

What VF Tuner will not offer:
- Blank ECUS that have never been programmed by Lotus.
- Cloning a Blank ECU that has never been programmed by Lotus.

What does the VF Tuner unlock + Tune + Kit come with?
- Our OTS Maps, on the lastest developments, completely unlocked, allowing you to fully access/custom tune further
- FULL calibration access to the end user, with access to all maps and parameters, so that you can custom tune, dyno tune, etc.
- For vehicles that race / track, FULL DTC Access, so that you can ensure your highly modified Emira has the necessary programming for your track needs (please follow your local emissions regulations / laws, this option is not intended to circumvent emissions, rather it is to ensure when you race a DTC does not block the vehicles safety parameters like traction control, etc).

For Emiras that have MODIFICATIONS like Smaller pulleys, The reason you NEED to tune the ECU, RIGHT HERE:
When you start adding modifications to the vehicle the ECU will restrict load/torque, and as a result the ECU restricts throttle to as little as 60* (a 20* reduction). Significantly limiting your ability to get all the power out of your modifications

AFTER TUNING:
- Significantly improved throttle control.

We will be rolling this tune update out to all current Emira customers Next week ^_^, yes it is finally ready.

Sounds fantastic.
So actually you have an actual working tuning solution for sale for people, like me, who are not afraid to send their ECU (and lose their warranty ). How to proceed? Trough your website?

I think user friendly GUI is still in dev. I could be wrong tho. A ton of tables were just added, perhaps still being metabolized.

A few questions: how are these features accessed? Is there an app? Have you added Mac support? Do you offer user support for things like analyzing data logs and recommending tune changes accordingly? Most of us interested in this would probably already have an intake (i.e. Eventuri, GRP, etc) and an exhaust mod of some kind. With the JB4 I can quickly switch maps, from 0 (off) to map 1, map 2, etc. and I can do this from an app on my iPhone. Are you going to have something similar where I can switch maps quickly and easily?

Another Emira, completely independently dyno tested and verified.
- Independent owner
- Completely independent shop
- Same day results

First, the mods:
- aftermarket smaller pulley
- Aftermarket header
- 93 octane pump

Second, the data:
- roughly 10-11psi
- clean, progressively enriching AFR target
- beautiful ignition curve View attachment 90572

The results, (a little confusing, but here it is broken down)
This plot has 2 versions of the results (mustang dyno)
so raw mustang, and dynojet estimated.
Peak gains:
MeasurementStockTuned “v3”GainIncrease
Mustang wheel horsepower357.21 WHP430.95 WHP73.74 WHP20.64%
Mustang wheel torque*320.25356.3036.0511.26%
“Estimated Dynojet HP”410.80 WHP495.59 WHP84.80 WHP20.64%

Assuming an 18.5% drivetrain loss, if you want "crank" horsepower, estimate (this is a estimate, not a real measurement)
CalculationStockTunedGain
Add 18.5% to WHP: multiply by 1.185423.3 HP510.7 HP87.4 HP
Account for 18.5% drivetrain loss: divide by 0.815438.3 BHP528.8 BHP90.5 BHP

with this mod setup the largest gains start to shop up around 5000 RPM where the car is consistently pushing 50+, 60+, and 70+ WHP Gains all the way to the new rev limit (7200)

For everyone’s reference, I ran this same calibration on my car, and logged 449 g/s. This is a meaningful increase against the car which was on dyno.

The differences between the two hardware set ups include my car having the following additions:

1)eventuri intake
2) VF lid
3) exhaust valve controller.
4*) unsure which headers the dyno car had

Somewhere in that combination, 20-30g/s was added. Thats pretty major.

Food for your thots

Gee I’m glad I’m happy with my car as it is…

😬
I am happy for you too. You should be sure to avoid driving one with 100+ whp and 100+ wtq. Going back is brutal, as I learned when I had to use my locked backup for a couple months
