Based on my experience, I believe the hot weight between 80 & 90 is so neglible, there's likely no noticeable impact. I chose 75w-90 because I use it in my other cars and have it on the shelf.

I used 75w-90 in my Evora GT too. It's fine in the summer. I found the gearbox likes to be warmed up a bit longer in the winter though otherwise I have some trouble getting into gear while cold. Will switch back to 80 next time to see if it makes a difference.

That's a reasonable assessment depending on your locale/temps.
