DIY - Oil Change Reference for 2GR-FE

Oil analysis results for the 1st service after the break-in service. Running Liqui-Moly 0w40, magnetic drain plug and oem filter. Not sure how to make sense of the results.

Technically you do not need to do a break in oil change. So the short answer is no.

I installed the GRP 3rd cat delete (and many other mods and servicing)using these pictured jack stands and they provided more than adequate ground clearance to work. I also used an adapted rubber puck for my low profile floor jack by cutting it to 1 3/4" so it fits perfectly in to the indented groove of the frame rail. This way, you avoid catching and damaging any part of the under tray edges when lifting with the floor jack. As Kitkat stated, that frame rail is rigid enough to jack up the car at almost any section, and I generally place my floor jack in the middle section between the 2 wheels to lift the Emira enough and allow placing stands on the 2 designated points on each side of the car. Hope this is somewhat helpful.

Thank you for posting this - is it high enough to fit under there with a creeper? I'm looking to put it up on 4 stands but wondering if 21" jack stand height is enough clearance to fit with a creeper.

Yes, I think you'd still have enough elbow room to perform the oil change laying on a creeper, as long as you use a low profile one which will diminish your ground-to-undercarriage clearance by some 3 inches.

Hi all. I'm going to do my first oil change next weekend. I've watched a couple of helpful 'how to' videos that were shared on the forum but both of them involved taking the diffuser off in addition to the aluminum tray that covers the oil pan. Can anyone confirm if the diffuser (or some of the bolts that are supporting it) needs to come off to do an oil change? Thanks in advance for any advice.

You kinda have to remove the diffuser to remove the metal undertray.
Just realize you DO NOT have to remove the 4 interior bolts (circled in red) on the diffuser as they hold the support bar of the diffuser.

No, you do not need to remove the diffuser. Remove the circled red bolts only, not the green. You can pull down a little on the diffuser to loosen things, then slide the panel back towards the diffuser and the front will drop down.

I found this diagram a few months ago, but don’t recall which post. Also, good to get a shop vac in there and clean up as many pebbles as you can.

When taking one of the rear wheels off this bolt popped out of the hub. Does anyone know what it's for and if there is a torque requirement for putting it back on? Thanks!

I went through this thread quickly to collect the part numbers, tips, and what not. Thanks to everyone who has contributed!

I need a set of ramps. Using Race Ramps' yardstick method, I measured the back of my Emira using the lowest part of the body behind the rear wheel, which is the edge rib of the diffuser. Race Ramps' calculator said the 13" measurement I got corresponded to a ramp angle of 21 degrees.

The other number is ramp height. How much is enough? Can it be too high?
