I have put mine with a double sided tape on top of the battery housing. Sits perfect there no need to drill nor attach anything 👍🏼

Absolutely no reason for a metal bracket.. i think this place is perfect right there where it needs to be. I kept the cables outside but will after next weeks service install inside

Looks good but need to make sure moisture doesn't get to it.....I've been down that road.

I think the other place has more risk for water ingression due to the vents on top??

I have tested the bracket location many car washes and spraying from diff angles. no issues with water ingress whatsoever.

The unit is also gasket sealed so you aren't going to have issues going forward.

VHB will fail in that location(38c). You might want to consider hard mounting it to the box soon.

Double sided sticky tape on top of the battery box isn't a fantastic idea, I've measured the area around 68C 20 minutes after a normal drive -- not even a hard drive. I measured these temps when I was researching which materials to use for a bracket for the Radium mount. Even past the heat shield and into the trunk is 45C -- VHB is going to be short lived here.

I like the placement. I do worry about the automotive tape giving way after a bit. I have used 3M automotive tape to hold radar detector brackets on my windshield, and the tape gives up after a bit of time and heat.
Will probable work something out with a 3D print

What's the trick to getting the two screws back in to secure the bracket? I have both screws out but there is enough misalignment to make it impossible to get those screws back in.

Take the weight off the hatch, push support it with a broom or something.

Finally got everything sorted out, and took my first drive this evening. Drove on Map0 to a Shell station, letting the car warm up to normal temp to make sure there weren't any issues or CEL's. Car is fine. Switched to Map1. I could immediately tell the difference as I left the Shell station. The car feels more eager to go now, and I can definitely feel there's more torque. It sounds different too, more growlier if that's a word. This is in Sports Mode.

Drove around town at different speeds, everything is fine. No issues. Took it out onto the freeway and wow does it pull at the faster speeds. The extra torque enables it to pick up speed really fast. It goes from 60-70 in the blink of an eye. The car was fun before, now it's even funner. Unfortunately we don't have 93 octane around here, so I can only imagine what that must feel like.

My app shows 8 maps. Does anybody else have that many? There's no explanation as to what they are. It would be nice if there was an octane rating in the Map box to show you what the maps are tuned for.

Overall I'm impressed with how smooth this all integrates. The car idles properly with or without the A/C on. Outside temp was 89F, but the engine temp stayed solid at 200. I did run the OBD cable so I had that connected. The only frustration was when I first opened the app, I had to create an account and login which was really annoying. It's a shame the app doesn't work with Carplay, because these gauges would look great on the big infotainment screen.

I'm going to drive it around on Map1 for a week or two and give the ECU time to adjust. I'll send some data logs to Burger to see if everything is okay, or they want to make a tweak or two. I do have the Eventuri intake which added 15 hp just by itself when I first installed it, so I want to make sure the tune is dialed into it. Once everything is dialed in and good, I'll take it to the dyno shop. I have a feeling the result is going to be good.
