I have put mine with a double sided tape on top of the battery housing. Sits perfect there no need to drill nor attach anything 👍🏼

Absolutely no reason for a metal bracket.. i think this place is perfect right there where it needs to be. I kept the cables outside but will after next weeks service install inside

Looks good but need to make sure moisture doesn't get to it.....I've been down that road.
I think the other place has more risk for water ingression due to the vents on top??

I have tested the bracket location many car washes and spraying from diff angles. no issues with water ingress whatsoever.

The unit is also gasket sealed so you aren't going to have issues going forward.

VHB will fail in that location(38c). You might want to consider hard mounting it to the box soon.

Double sided sticky tape on top of the battery box isn't a fantastic idea, I've measured the area around 68C 20 minutes after a normal drive -- not even a hard drive. I measured these temps when I was researching which materials to use for a bracket for the Radium mount. Even past the heat shield and into the trunk is 45C -- VHB is going to be short lived here.
