Suddenly that warning light doesn't seem so bad

Its about a 10 minute job to pull the module and maybe another 30 to install the kit. Super easy!

We did have it sourced but the colours seem to come and go. I have asked my office to confirm whether if the actual red leather is available. The person I need to speak to is off today but in tomorrow so I will try and find out but it may be after Christmas to get an answer.

Just installed the passenger side bypass kit on my US spec car. Success!! Finally I no longer have an airbag warning light on the dash. Shoutout to @GRP

not only is the light off, but the airbags will deploy if there is a passenger present!

How difficult was it to do in practice?

I got it done in about 45 min taking my time. It’s not too hard at all. The hardest part for me was taking off the pads (the double sided tape is really strong but I think you can warm the seat a bit to loosen the adhesive.

I did end up damaging the grommet a bit when I pryed it open so will be buying this piece when it’s available.

I’ll be designing a 3d printed replacement for my seat trim when I get to it next week. Couldn’t this week as I’m was occupied with the TTX.

We can just send out new crotch hole surround mouldings via Greg.
When they are new they go together easily.

@Steve Tillett @GRP for those who have an order not shipped yet, what do we need to do to make sure this will be shipped as well? Or will it have to be a separate order? I’m really keen to have that part during the initial setup

I spoke to Greg about sending these mouldings the other day and to supply new orders with the base panel loose. So they will undoubtably be going out in the next shipment, now that we know a cut is needed for the US spec cars.

@Steve Tillett I’ve just ordered a set of your seats. The spec will be as attached. My seats will be coming to China through a China agent. Do you know if we need this new module that @GRP developed for the passenger seat in US spec cars? Do you have the necessary modules for the Airbag etc?

I have had one Chinese Emira customer who must have received a US specification car, because the European plugs did not work for him, so I feel it would be safer to go with GRP's solution.

Just some tips and tricks here:

- Please remove your 12V power before you mess with this stuff.

- If you take some pliers and grab the plastic from the under side and gently pull straight out and work it from side to side you can separate the plastics while preserving all of the pins and you won't need any glue or replacement trim pieces.

- I've got my kit from Greg and used a Foxwell NT630 Plus OBD2 scanner, connected it as 2020 Volvo S60 and the first engine selection they had on there.

- If you happen to get an unclearable U134087 code with "Occupant Weight Sensor, Bus signal/message faults, Message missing" error, talk to Greg and he'll get you a slightly different harness.
