Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

2,972 miles in mine this past week. Even with 2 fractures in lower vertebrae, I have no problems at all and my back feels better than usual! Everybody wanted to sit in them this week at the Dragon event 🤙🏻

Dude, you and me both! Every time my car was parked up, I would walk back and find someone in it lol. Great meeting you! I'm already looking forward to next year!

I saw a picture earlier in this thread that had headrests with the Lotus emblem on them, is it possible to request this when ordering these seats? Very interested in them as the OE seats are just not… good

I just ordered custom cushions for another car and they were willing to stitch the logo. They will do anything as long as Tillet is inscribed as well.

@Steve Tillett @GRP and everyone else on here... anyone ever install a B6, B7, or C1 seat in an Emira? I've never used a seat without the taller side support with the belt hole in it. The B10 seats look so... "open"

It might look open but the support is still better than most fully sided race seats. The curved inner shape centralises you.
You could easily fit any of the other seats into the car B6 B7, B8, B9, B12 will all work.
You would not use a C1 with the head surround on the road.
Also the B11 would be too reclined.

Thank you very much for this reply, Steve! Regarding the B6, would the taller side supports be incompatible with the Emira's stock 3-point harness? I'm on the skinny side at 5'10" and 130 lbs.

You can use a three point harness with the B6, I do in my Elise. However, it must be fed through the holes not over the top. This means that the outer belt must permanently hang though the hip hole and fitting the seat belt on yourself means feeding the buckle through the other hole and into the receptor. The standard size in B10 or B6 would be suitable for yourself.

Gotcha, thank you! Having the seat be FIA certified is nice as I can swap it out into my racecar if needed, or who knows maybe the Emira becomes the racecar someday

You can see in the picture of my car, the way it sits through the seat hole and where the receptor must be positioned.
