Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

I don't know if this deserves it's own thread as there are individual questions about the various steps within the process, but I just posted a step by step guide on seat removal and installation. This also covers the removal of the passenger sensor as well as how to modify the passenger Tillet seat for the GRP bypass kits.

Just adding a data point the passenger side bypass kit works exactly as described but the padding on my Bride Stradia III is too thick for the sensor to know there is any pressure. I can remove the pads and simply press one finger on the sensor and the airbag will turn on.
Greg has been super helpful with some ideas on how to get this to work on non-Tillet seats. I think I can get new pads made where I place the sensor right under the top fabric layer and that should do the trick. I tried a thin but hard abs layer on top of the sensor and below the seat pads, that didn't work there is just too much cushion. But for the fringe case where someone is using the kit on seat different than the Tillets that they were designed for you might not have enough pressure on the sensor to activate the passenger airbag -

Finally got my custom cushions installed! I can't thank Greg enough for going to bat for me with Tillet when one set was slightly wrong. All in all, I also have to thank Tillet for taking care of it.

Mine went in today with 6 point harness
My harness was just delivered today as well. I need to rip the seat out this weekend, install Greg's submarine anchor and the harness, and slap it back in.

The seat pads are coming soon with the same design as yours, but with dual red stripes and the lotus logo on the headrest.

I owe you a beer @Savanna7 , your install video REALLY helped with my Tillett installation. I agree, the seats are really comfortable. I set mine to 2nd from bottom position front and rear. They feel super low. Feels great on track but a bit low on the road, can barely see over the dash

After driving in them over 1,300 miles this weekend, I like the position that I have them in. I believe they are set at the same hole as you on the rear, but the front is slightly lifted. It sounds like you chose to install them flat vs having any backward lean for leg support?
They will be night and day different at your first track day!
Haven’t had a chance to play with them, was quite busy getting the car ready for a track day last Saturday. I found the angle to be pretty good as is. My cage is pretty close behind the seat, if I lean them back I think it might contact the cage. Might adjust the cage a little, I will see, when I get a chance.
It’s primarily a track car for me, I slightly regret not getting the FIA version to lock me in even better, but regardless they are great and have a good balance between being comfortable, not too difficult to get in/out, whilst keeping you locked in on track and also looking amazing
