Porsche announces new manual 911 T, looking pretty comparable to Emira (sub 100k before options)

I agree, the 718 Spyder is the more focused fun car. The T would be the best daily/fun 911 for a reasonable price. If I needed a daily sports car that was fun, I would take the T. Weekend fun car the Spyder/GT4.

I really hope the Emira is a bit more special than the 718 N/A 6's, at least in driving dynamics and lower end power. Those 6 n/a engines are great after 4,500 RPM, but feel a tad sluggish under it. I will say the Emira production spec cars I have seen look a lot better than the pre-prod cars in fit/finish and probably better than the track cars at the experience centre.

I just can't take the looks of a 718. Most Porsche's look boring to me. 718 still screams 'Boxster' to me at some level. Carrera hasn't excited me in a while but something about the T - with that wing, those rims and the contrast sideview mirrors - has enough wow factor. I'm ok with a Poser-GT3 look for that money. And after having driven a Jaguar for 7 years, the appeal of German reliability is alluring too

It's still $30-40k more than a fully loaded Emira FE (at least in my spec). And that's before ADM. That's no small number. I could buy a brand new Emira FE and a brand new GTI for that money... And still have money left over for mods. 😂

718 Spyder is the only exception. But I agree, The 718 GTS isn't great looking.

What do the tea-leaves read on ETA? My dealership said would be 992.2 which I imagine will mean everything on the website and configurator (including pricing) goes out the window. (Remember the good old days when you could BUY a car??)

Here in the UK its anytime between April and November next year, hang on that's when my Emira was suppose to turn up lol.

Hopefully know accurate build slots and and residuals in a week or two (That Sounds familiar lol)
