Keff sound system improvement.

This made all the difference in the world. Thanks for this post!

Anyone figure out if there’s any way to make this a default setting instead of having to do it every time?
Not sure I understand what you mean. What is resetting on you?

My Master has remained at 100% and only the media (or nav, phone, etc) move with the knob. I haven’t had to redo any settings through power cycles.

I tried it on mine, hoping for the best, but was disappointed when it didn’t make any appreciable difference. The audio really stinks in this car. Guess I’ll go back to listening to the engine!
:)

I did the adjustment and I think it made a difference? I didn't compare before and after change too much, and it's possible volume differences may be what I'm hearing as placebo.

I think maybe the lower midrange got more defined or simply louder proportionally to other sounds. The upper midrange still lacks clarity and sharpness though.

Did this but also didn't notice any real difference but apprecaite the recommendation. I guess nothing short of proper audio upgrade will sort this system.

I did master 100% then backed the others to 50% sat in the garage and plecebo or not i thought it made a big difference. The Bose in the Taycan is the best I have had in a car and Emira cant compare at previous settings.
It will be on the road 1st April so I'll do some more listening
Thanks OP 👍

There is also a recent software update for the stereo but yes the OP is right the master volume increases the power of the system! Thanks!

I asked about this when I had updates done last week and no audio update was available for my US i4.

I plugged my phone in today for the first time instead of using wireless car play, and that makes a big difference. It’s still complete trash though 😂

The biggest improvement I found, was to start using Spotify with the music downloaded in LoseLess format. The difference was significantly more than what I heard from the Master volume to 100%
Assuming everyone else knew about Loseless and it was just me being a numb nut

That’s strange. Mine resets every time I restart my car…

Have you created a profile in the system, or are you "logging in" as a guest every time?

I saw some mention in the thread the cones on the speakers have to break in. How long do they take to break in? I want to let mine break in before adjusting this

I tried this over the weekend on 2026 V6 SE and it worked wonders. As suggested ran master to 100% and all others to 50%.
Did your settings stick through a power cycle? Other members mentioned they had to reset them, I did not. Also, is your car up-to-date with software updates?

2024 FE V6 here getting all the software updates. I’ll try this when I get my car back and report.

I did notice a significant improvement after the speakers broke in. Maybe a year? Also th bass suffers significantly depending on the song with the windows open. Last car sounds best when in the garage without the engine on. Actually sounds pretty good, not amazing but pretty good, not crap. This doesn’t necessarily reflect real life conditions but it is a reference point.

I just tried this as well. It is a noticeable slight improvement. Thanks for the tip OP.
