Keff sound system improvement.

Has anyone thought about adding in the KEF speakers from the 2026+ cars? I feel like that would go a long way. I think the wiring would be missing though.

Do you know when that CEM update was originally released? My s/w is upto date as of April, so hopefully its a newer release than that

Not yet. Ill ask for it when I pick up the car, but if you updated it in April, I can't imagine there's even a newer release than that. But I will ask.

You may be surprised. Last time I talked to my dealer whilst getting updates, he mentioned there were getting new ones almost monthly

So David gave me the following info today:

- DIM update that he performed on mine was released 4/12/26
- CEM update that he performed on mine was recently released but there isn't a bulletin attached to it yet that he can see. The old CEM update bulletin was released back on 7/9/25. So @Beachbum, you're right, the most recent CEM update which as of now has corrected the master volume issue was just released. So if you haven't received this update in the past month or so, I'd call your dealer and set it up.

I have mine going in next week for updates and a few other things. I have been waiting and hoping the DCT update would release....But I can almost promise that by me taking mine in next week, it will be released within a week or two after that lol

I might be an anomaly but I prefer 50% master and +1 across bass, mid, treble.

I finally figured out how to independently adjust the master volume to 100% with the drop down. It was louder but muddier and more compressed. I tried reducing bass and mids, increase highs and it still sounded off.

I returned back to 50% master and +1s. This setting I’ve been running for awhile now just sounds better. Bass is clear and tight and sound stage is more separated - which it was always pretty good at.

There are still some songs this system simply can’t handle. But it’s not really common.

I’m sticking to my 50% and may consider a separate bass module later to add a little more bass without upsetting everything else.

Have you cut the green wire?? That is where the muddy sound comes from!

Got my car back today from Galpin.

As for the master volume, unfortunately, it didn't stick even with the software update. When I came home, and restarted the car, it reset to 50%. Looks like there's still no solve for it. He did say, it's probably a safety thing because master controls all the volumes and if they're at full blast, it might be an abrupt hazard. He doesn't know but was just speculating because Astons have quirks like that too. Oh well.

Maybe a software update down the road might solve it, or it very may well be some safety feature Lotus wants on there...
