Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

NoFear matches up Pitt's Map1 [ 8.7 map 1 and 8.8 map 2.]

So they managed to squeeze out about 1.5 psi more boost, nice. Guess that means that Lotus is bleeding off pressure in the stock config or bypassing compressor. Not bad, beats changing the pulley+ belt which is basically impossible to change back before a service visit while under warranty.

Any one installed JB4 on the AMG engine yet to see boost level over stock. Thinking stock should be 27.5psi on UK cars and 30.5psi on US spec. Thinking it would take 5.5 to 6 more psi to get ~500HP .

Both cars cool the charged air, wonder how these cars will perform in warmer weather - as extra boost generates more heat. All the boosted cars I've modified I upped the intercooler(s) to compensate for extra heat. Hopefully JB4 hasn't bypassed any of the OEM safeguards in place to prevent issue with heat saturation.

Hi guys
Just a quick update on my i4
Running very smoothly and power is night and day different in every mode
Track in manual is just bonkers with pops and bangs on change downs and rifle cracks on up shifts
I’m very happy, JB4 is the best bang for the buck out there.
I’ve got to send a few logs over to Terry for his opinions on tweaks and possibly running map 3 on our uk 99ron fuel
Cheers MR69

That’s fair enough. Hopefully someone knows what’s going on or how I can fix this. I’m stumped. Everything works fine again when I reconnect the factory wires so it can’t be a failing MAF sensor and the pins appear fine since they click firmly into place. So deflated haha was really looking forward to this
The fourth pin on the factory plug looks weird in your photo. How many wires go into the back of that plug? Look also in the factory connector that plugs into it and make sure there's not a broken pin stuck in there.

3 wires go into the back of it. No idea if that’s normal

If it's on the factory harness, then yes it's normal. Are you saying it's 4 wires on the opposite plug of the factory harness? Just double-checking....

Hey guys just installed my jb4 module in my v6 Emira and it’s throwing esc temporarily unavailable and engine reduce acceleration errors and running really rough. Not sure what’s going on as everyone else seems to be getting it to work instantly with plug and play? :( drove around this morning and it was terrible, power was all over the place and it felt like it was cutting most of the time. Couldn’t got past 4K rpm and generally ran like it was dying half the time. Any advice?
V6 manual or auto? What intake and exhaust mods have you done?
It seems like so far most of the people running JB4 successfully are doing so in conjunction with 3rd cat delete and either cold air intake or non-stock high flow air filter. The JB4 was developed on a car with these mods. Is anyone using JB4 with a completely stock intake and exhaust setup?

I reconnected my the MAF and ECU connectors originally and it went back to normal. I’ve tried again and got the same result. I’ll look into the pins and report back. Thanks!
I’m just surmising here, but I would have thought that as you have put everything back to standard and all was good, then there must either be a hardware or software fault with the JB4 unit.

plug it back in run it for a bit collect logs. send to burger. it may just be a bad harness. easy to swap. they will help you either way.

His first and last name and address were fully visible in the first version of the picture he posted. Randomly looking up a name and address in a phone book, is not the same as seeing a full name and address being posted where you know for sure there's at least one expensive sports car there.
Or following someone to where they live.

Mine's a fully stock v6 manual. It runs really well (smooth power deliver, no CELs), with a very noticeable increase in power on both maps 1 and 2.

I tried doing that for work yesterday and it wasn’t safe on the road at all. Scared me quite a bit. Anyway the, Payam and Terry are helping me diagnose the issue so all is good. I have faith it’s a simple matter of :) can’t wait to experience all the fun you guys are reporting!

I hope it’s not an Australian thing. I’m trying to free up some time to fit mine.

Just wanted to post an update that I did get the high flow air filter installed and map to now feels a little bit smoother and not as restrained. Also can tell now that it’s Pulling pretty consistently or at least evenly across the RPM range at the upper levels.

Not sure I gain much by getting a Eventuri intake, but I may just do that later on just to save weight and for the sound

Hey all, I wasn't able to find the answer.

Does this work on a v6 auto as intended, plug and play?

Im assuming it does based on I4 working fine but wanted to check prior to ordering

@squish is installing/testing one on his auto soon and can report back that it works properly.
Burger hasnt been able to get the time to in house test an auto yet so he is taking it into his own hands.
It should be fine, but we just want to make sure the TCU plays nice with it installed
