Are you sure that's correct, as that's huge boost! You could pump your tyres up with that. Surely that kind of boost would give you close to 500HP.

+1 meter for both AMG and V6 RHD Emira, assuming you are using the bracket from my store. How many meters are required for AMG I4 installation?
Good boy !I couldn't take it anymore -- GRP air filter and JB4 ordered![]()
For sure it’s Safer to run stock on the track. It’s gonna be hot as hell this time of year too.Have a track event at the end of month, I will wait after that, dun wanna have the injectors quit on me lol
We have 4 Emira waiting to get injectors replaced at the Guangzhou dealership. I dun want to get caught with injectors failure with a piggyback on so they can deny my warranty. For sure it’s Safer to run stock on the track. It’s gonna be hot as hell this time of year too.
I wouldn’t expect the additional power would cause injector issues would it? I’d be more concerned about overheating etc when running higher power levels on track.
That is a mechanical gauge, how could it be wrong? I am just saying stock is running 2 bars inline with what Lotus claims whereas JB4's data seems low.Are you sure that's correct, as that's huge boost! You could pump your tyres up with that. Surely that kind of boost would give you close to 500HP.
0-100 was 3.5s. It was a racechip with custom tuning for evaluation purpose.675430VME
[That's strange, we hit 2.5 bar on another piggyback.]This is what I was expecting 2.5psi is about 36 psi, you must be pushing 500hp at the wheels.Do you have a draggy ? with 500HP I bet your able to dip into the 2s for 0-60 subtracting roll-out on a nice day.Which piggy -back are you using?
What's the point of installing the JB4 if you can't run MAP 2 or 3 for a track event because of over heating? For sure it’s Safer to run stock on the track. It’s gonna be hot as hell this time of year too.

For info we both have 400hp I4, not V6. I’m just going along with what he said, it’s fair enough, can’t deny more boost will put more strain on the car. What's the point of installing the JB4 if you can't run MAP 2 or 3 for a track event because of over heating?
Isn't it better to install a piggy back that will unleash more power by getting the rev limiter past the 6,800 RPM wall?
What are the best fixes available that can be installed to keep the temps low?
I removed the rear windsheild and installed the JUBU louvre which allows more heat to escape already.
Will the new VF Tuner supercharger lid help to keep temperatures low?
I'm assuming the JB4 car is the dark verdant green.Hi Guys, no offence.. im gonna play devils advocate here. Having installed the JB4 and running map 2 for a week… i feel the performance increase is like a placebo effect. All these people who claim the map2 power is felt and that is is soo much better and it should have come from factory like this etc..
Have you all done a side by side comparison with another Emira?
We did, see the difference below, the reason again might be due to the hot climate but again we are comparing apples with apples here.. one emira with grp airfilter, milltek valve controller and decat as dynoed by jb4 and the otherwise exact same setup with jb4 map 2. See below the videos and let me know what you guys think of it.
You are in the UK and have 400bhp I4's ?For info we both have 400hp I4, not V6. I’m just going along with what he said, it’s fair enough, can’t deny more boost will put more strain on the car.
There are upgraded cooling options for the I4 (basically A45S parts AFAIK), but not personally done anything too extensive yet, maybe next year. I have a bit of an ongoing project and want to get that done before going too crazy on the Emira![]()
Interesting for sure - could it be that your JB4 module isn't working properly? Your results are contradictory to what several dyno's have shown as a significant performance increase with the JB4 installed.Hi Guys, no offence.. im gonna play devils advocate here. I’m in China, I4 is 400hp here. I use a UK VPN so it might show up as a UK flag when the VPN is on.You are in the UK and have 400bhp I4's ?
Thought all UK I4's were 360bhp ?
Not trying to be rude, but are you new to modding? More power means more heat, no matter how you increase it. It means more strain on components, and requires more diligence to maintenance (oil/filter changes, etc.). It's not unusual to have to improve the cooling in some way. There are some dedicated and experienced modders on this forum, so I expect we'll see some solutions being talked about soon. What's the point of installing the JB4 if you can't run MAP 2 or 3 for a track event because of over heating?

YesI'm assuming the JB4 car is the dark verdant green.
Very true, last time I increased boost significantly on one of my cars; I had to up the intercooler (4 times larger, with a larger intake air duct). Yes, people should be careful.More power means more heat, no matter how you increase it. It means more strain on components,
