What did you do to your Emira today?

I may try another run with the rear mount about half-way down the rear glass. I just don't trust having the rear mount close to that glass open end. Edit to add: Rear bot lid wasn't an option for me as I have vinyl stripe in the middle. Front mount towards the top of the glass with the rear mount on the middle of the boot lid would likely be fine otherwise.

Yes, one wheel can fit behind the seats.

I went for a day drive with my wife from Napa, to the ocean at Halfmoon Bay, had lunch at Cameron’s English pub, drove north across the Golden Gate Bridge, had dinner in Santa Rosa, and drove through wine country home. Flushed brake fluids and replaced the brake pads with Endless MX-72 last week. Completed simple bedding process. Haven't had the chance to drive much yet. Also, the mechanic was surprised to find out that Emira came with steel brake lines from the factory. Even GT3s and Ferraris came with only rubber lines.

Your post made me realize that, even with only 3700 miles, I'm probably one of the few FE1.0 owners who's never taken a wheel off!

IIRC, metal overbraiding can improve pedal feel (keep the rubber from bulging under pressure) and probably increases durability somewhat as it protects the rubber from abrasion. But is this ultimately still a rubber hose that will age as such?

WOW!!!!! Soooo much better than OEM, more comfy, supportive, lower and the car is more engaging. I think it's impossible to oversell these, they are that good....

Hello mate, the seats look ace!! . seriously considering getting a set of these myself. However, I'm not 100% convinced my Mrs/ passenger would find them comfortable as in you will feel every bump in the road - kind of like a car with MEGA stiff suspension?

You've probably been asked this a thousand times, but do you feel every bump in the road with these ? Do the OEM seats provide more cushioning with the bumps? The best description I've heard about the OEM seats is its like sitting on a dead body in a bean bag!! I have no doubt the tillets are more comfy, I'm just worried about the bump/ stiffness factor. The only thing is you have to take care getting in them, the sides are obviously solid rather than soft like the OEMs so you can't just slide sideways in, you have to ensure you sit straight in the middle. I think Tillett may do an option to slightly cut the sides down if you prefer. But you get used to it pretty quickly.

The only thing is you have to take care getting in them, the sides are obviously solid rather than soft like the OEMs so you can't just slide sideways in, you have to ensure you sit straight in the middle. I think Tillett may do an option to slightly cut the sides down if you prefer. But you get used to it pretty quickly.

Hilton and Moss Lotus Drivers Club Meet 2026 in Bishop's Stortford. I was in the Elise today as I still don't have my Emira back but several other forum members were there. H&M gave a tour of the workshops, storage and restoration areas - there's some fairly impressive restoration work being done here and some lovely cars.
