What did you do to your Emira today?

The other is for sure Autumn Bronze. My Evora was that color and it was amazing on that. I'm not so sure it has the same effect on the Emira

Went for a drive. Should have stayed at home. UK, South England has had torrential rain over the last 36hrs, surface water was horrendous and a couple of times was driving through 6" floods.
Not a pleasant way to spend the afternoon.
Drive back was a lot better. Bridport to Weymouth coastal road, now floods, no surface water, no other traffic. Only problem is, its only 19miles long
It's just utterly crap in the UK at the moment. I look at my car in the garage and say "No, you don't want to go out there mate." (It's been too long, I'm talking to my car now!)

I picked my car which got a new battery curtesy of Lotus UK! (My service rep said he had never seen that happen before) and some software updates. While I was there I snapped some pictures of the new colors:
I failed to mention: the (ODB-II?) code they found was a PO07100 "Ambient air temperature sensor circuit" and I got the TSB-131-25020 ECM software update that they thought was related to my O2 sensor issue. The forum returns no hits for that update, but it might be useful for people to share the updates they receive.

Got the Schroths installed!

Funny, live in TN. Most of time I can take her out weekly. Not the last three weeks. Snow!! Went out to the garage yesterday. Jumped in, turned on the tunes. My wife come out asked “what are you doing” I told her she wouldn’t get it. She went back in the house! 6 songs later. Covered her back up, went inside!

Fancied a drive out this Sunday morning, weather has been wetter then usual in the UK this week and I was fed up of being cooped in. So I took an early morning drive to the Cars and Coffee at Squisita in Sawbridgesworth. An interesting selection of cars turned up and the coffee was fairly decent - worth a stop for sure.

For those that might want to come to this in the future, it's on every second Sunday starting at 8:30. You park in the car park near the top of Bell Street, turn off at the blue sign. There's a main car park and if you follow the lane round to the left a second car park. Both car parks get full of all sorts of cars. Squisita itself is a little bit further down Bell Street - serving coffee and breakfast. You can either stop in the car parks and chat to other owners or chat in the large foyer of Squisita.

I was the only Lotus there so the Emira got plenty of attention. I was chatting to the owner of one of the Morgans there, he'd had half a dozen Lotus over the years before swapping to a Morgan.

The product is color PPF 3M Gloss British Racing Green. Color PPF differs from normal vinyl wraps in that it's ~8mm thick instead of ~3mm, giving the PPF protection properties, and can have color depth like normal paint. The warranty for it is typically 7-10 years instead of vinyl's typical 3 years, though that probably doesn't include maintaining the install. It's a somewhat up and coming product since many brands have released color PPF variants in the last 2 years.

For me, it cost about $7000 for the film and install but likely should've cost more since 3M film is more expensive than others yet doesn't have that much better quality. Also, my shop had a tough time working with 3M film. Here are some good alternatives I was also considering from other brands; something to note is that I think blue hue comes out a bit more in photos than how the color looks in actuality.
Some good actual colors for referencing is Porsche Jet Green Metallic, Racing Green Metallic, and Oak Green Metallic Neo.

THANK YOU!
I am in the same situation and just asked a fitter about green PPF options for my car which will arrive in april/may. I ordered dark verdant and still unsure if I should go transparent PPF or colored PPF. I always wanted a lighter green but EOS was too loud and the british racing green was not for order in europe. I checked the 3M british racing green but there is only a video of a 911 on youtube and it looks auiet dull. your pictures are very helpful! Do you mind if I shoot you a PM for some more pictures?

My fitter has
- your 3M color british racing green

- CYS metallic royal green

- or XPEL green / PWF black forest green (no pictures…)
