What did you do to your Emira today?

Went in for door panel replacement and 30 month maintenance (checkup and oil change). And yes, my dealer is only 5.3km away.

Well, not today actually, but over the weekend.... finally got around to installing these bad boys....

WOW!!!!! Soooo much better than OEM, more comfy, supportive, lower and the car is more engaging. I think it's impossible to oversell these, they are that good....

Drove for 300 miles, took 7hrs and was bloody boring
The drive out was country lanes, but it seems everyone decided to go for a drive to day as the sun was out. The drive back hit rush hour, because the drive out took so long
I wonder if the days of having a good blat are over.

New Shoes. Aerie Performance V5. Matte Gunmetal. +5mm in front, +10mm rear otherwise stock dimensions with fresh LTS F1's. On my scales they were +5.74 lbs heavier (total) than the published stock forged multi spoke weights (still much lighter than the 10-spoke OEM cast wheels). Easier to clean. Brake dust color. :D Managed to get 23k miles out of the rears before I started showing threads on the inner tread. Also installed the HAWK ceramic pads. Much less grabby. Good progressive feel. Hopefully much less dust. Lotus Tech commented he liked them better than the OEM pads.

Oh and one thing I forgot to mention that occurred during the drive........ Pulled over in a passing place on a single track road and some yob in the car that drove past, spat at the car !!! What is the world coming to?

I wouldn't have guessed that for the U.K. but the same thing has happened to me where I live. The population has nearly tripled where I am, mostly in the last 6 years or so. Well over 100,000 people have moved here and the roads are now so congested you can't do much other than poke along in traffic. I have to drive at least half an hour or more out of the valley to find some breathing room, but even then I've noticed those outer areas are starting to have more vehicles on them.

Not much I can do about it other than I no longer plan on going out on the weekends. It's still nice to be in the car though.
