What did you do to your Emira today?

Did you plug in an OBDII reader already to check for any code? Frequently these engine check warnings are triggered by a low charge in the battery, so you may want to plug in your tender and restart the engine after an overnight charge.
Hope this helps and that it turns out to be a sexy triumph rather than a, you know what…
I don't have access to a working OBD-II reader, so I'll give my dealer a call tomorrow. They are about 9 min away (outside peak).

You can get a cheap bluetooth one from Amazon for less than £50 that can read and clear most codes. This might be worth considering - especially when your local dealer charges a minimum £75 fee to read the ODB-11 codes.

Thanks I’ll do that, but I just dropped it off at Los Gatos Lotus in time to see them get a delivery of seven new Emiras. There were some colors I had never seen before (looked like two different shades of orange)

Looks like the new eos green. Looks pretty good with some sun shining on it

Looks an interesting tyre tread. What tyres are they?

Went for a drive. Should have stayed at home. UK, South England has had torrential rain over the last 36hrs, surface water was horrendous and a couple of times was driving through 6" floods.
Not a pleasant way to spend the afternoon.
Drive back was a lot better. Bridport to Weymouth coastal road, now floods, no surface water, no other traffic. Only problem is, its only 19miles long

I’d have thought you would have turned around and gone back to collect the thing you “forgot”?! Do that a couple of times ……

;):giggle::giggle:

And you’re a braver man than me taking your car out in the floods.

I had a puncture in my rear right patched and had it washed 😂

Turning around wasnt an option. Way to much traffic behind me and no place to pull over

I picked my car which got a new battery curtesy of Lotus UK! (My service rep said he had never seen that happen before) and some software updates. While I was there I snapped some pictures of the new colors:

Yeah, big fan of the tangelo orange. Is that other one an ember orange or autumn bronze? Either way, not so big on it - reminds me of a Nissan 350z.

Should have also mentioned the wonderfully considerate Lorry drivers coming from the other direction, that must have found it hilarious to go through the flood at 40+ mph and drenching the cars on the other side of the road, including mine
Thanks guys, greatly appreciated.

Part of me wonders how much a quote would be to get my Yellow one repainted in Tangelo Orange. We haven't had any in the UK (so far).

It would be cheaper to wrap it. May not be an exact match but can probably get close.

Yeah you're right. Classic scope creep for my road rash fix though: Going from "get a couple smart repairs done" to "Respray the whole car in a new colour, you're putting it in the booth anyway"

Just wait until the bubbling shows up again, and then you'll easily be able to justify a respray  😭 💀

(I have absolutely started entertaining this mad idea... it is terrifying 😂)
