May be off topic. But just food for thought on US and Canada Delivery
For NA FE.1 if I remember correctly some time in early 2022 we were told car will start arriving fall of 2022. We were also told because of delays cars would be registered as 2024 model year. Which was a good thing.
Do you not think Lotus at that time new full well NA cars would not even start being built till supposedly July 2023 (we hope) therefore that will be a 2024 model year.
Again just a thought.
EDIT at this rate maybe we will get 2025 year model 😂

100% they knew. I mentioned this numerous times before. Also they would never have released base spec's/pricing and configurator until the vast majority of F/E builds were completed. Which should be Q1 2024, making the Base Emira a 2025 model year and start of production in July/Aug of '24, pretty much like every other auto manufacturer.

That assumes Lotus can plan that far ahead into 2023, which I doubt based on available evidence.

Nothing is confirmed as Lotus refuses to communicate. And when they have communicated, dates given have been misleading (to put it nicely). They typically announce delays just weeks before previously stated delivery times.

Weeks? How about at the beginning of this year when our vehicles were supposed to go into production and they waited almost a week to tell us of delays...AFTER the deadline lol.

The EPA site still has the 2020 Evora GT as the last Lotus to pass certification. The site can be a little behind with updates but I’d like to see an Emira on there by now.

They still haven't actually told us about the current production delays either. Last information given to dealers was that production would begin in May instead of April.

I was told August now after calling the head of US sales directly, which triggered him to call my dealer with updates, who then called me. This entire experience has my head spinning. I never once expected my first new exotic sports car purchase to be this painful.

And you chose Lotus to pop your exotic 🍒. 😊☺️. Just be glad it wasn’t a Ferrari; you’d have to learn how to bribe the sales rep just to have him take an order for you. Then he’d tell you that you can’t order that one until you’ve owned at least one of these to make sure it’s a good fit for your lifestyle.

August is for FE 2.0 builds…I heard that first allocation FEs are on schedule.

If this is the case, Lotus better be sharing FE 2.0 allocations and locking in builds.
