USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Just got my 2026 i4 VIN ordered in early Feb 2026 and got notice it was "on a boat" from the dealer. Vin is: SCCLEMYX0THB41228

I didn't see it on the list yet that I could tell but maybe because it just was shipped?

Also in California... and adding I CAN"T WAIT!!!
Nice! Looks like they are getting faster at making these, or there is less of a backlog. I waited 7/8 months for mine (also in California). Enjoy!

Yeah, I was told July/August timeframe initially. Got an email from the dealer a few weeks ago saying they would start on my car in June. Then last week he replied saying it's on the boat already. So who knows at this point... and I am unsure how long before it actually shows up for delivery. In the meantime, racking up the purchases on CT Carbon kit, EBC Red Stuff pads, JQ Werks paddle shifters, Milltek Valve Controller, and no-drill front license plate holder. Don't even have the car and already have the mod bug!

I've compiled all of the VINs I could find for the US and Canadian Emira shipments. This list will be updated as new shipments arrive.

Mates: anyone else presently denied access to this data by Google (403 error)?

Sorry for the late message here, but I visited the Hethel factory two weeks ago (I'm American) and all the cars coming out were LHD. We asked why, and they said they were behind on US deliveries and are focused on turning them out right now. I counted 16 of the Scura model, a Tangelo 420 Sport on the test track, and then a number of other "regular" Emiras. Lots of stuff coming through.

Interesting side note: All the Scura models go through the extra QC step they use for bespoke cars, test cars, and press cars. There were 12 sitting in that room alone waiting to be carefully reviewed.

Hello!

On Saturday, I just placed a deposit for a 420s at Boardwalk Lotus. The order was placed to Lotus yesterday. I was told a delivery timeframe of January/February.

Placed my order for my 26 end of January, showed up in June at the dealer so timeframe sounds appropriate.

Placed our [USA] order for a 2027 AMG turbo on 22-Aug-2026. We were told by the dealership that it would be placed as part of the 28-Aug-2026 allocation. "Should arrive" in January or February. Now the waiting game...

A 5-6 month waiting game? That’s cute.

Back in my day they’d only tell you the car is coming “soon” and then you’d wait 3 years.

Yeah, yeah. I hear ya. We have no expectations on the delivery date being less than 6 months.

Ordered mine end of January 2026, took delivery towards end of June so… ya never know.

I believe they’ll do 6 months now. I was just doing my old man rant that it used to be a lot different - lead time and comms.

I ordered my 26MY Emira in August 2025, and it arrived at the dealership 7 months later. That's about what I was expecting, but what surprised me was seeing the sticker on the driver's side door frame which stated that the car was manufactured in October 2025. Curious as to why it took 5 months to get it across the pond.

Possibly waiting for tariffs to be reduced again?

Freight alone via boat can take several weeks (3-5) but let's call it a month. Getting from Hethel to one of their shipping ports in the south (Dover, etc.) probably takes 1-2 weeks. Once at port in England, it can sit there several weeks waiting for the boat (maybe 1-3) weeks. Then, when it arrives on the US east coast, it could sit for upwards of an additional month waiting for both Lotus NA acceptance/review and then customs review. Then depending on what part of the country it's going to, add at least a week but could be more if it's going to the opposite coast.

Remember, at every step, this isn't an exclusive "Lotus" engagement. Quite the contrary, Lotus is simply on board with a much broader freight infrastructure that has multiple stops and pick-ups on the way. In a perfect world, freight from Hethel to a US dealer is 3 months, but for it to take 5 months from point A to B, based on the preceding context, you can see is not a stretch.

Now, if you want to go "baller", you can work with your dealer to have the car shipped via airfreight at a steeper cost (think F1 car shipping). Back in 2012-2016 when they were selling a few of the v6 Exiges for track use only, we got to see a few coming off (on individual large wood pallets and partially shrink wrapped!)of DHL 747's in Vegas of all places. Lotus figured out it was cheaper, faster and easier given they didn't have to go through all of the DOT related stuff at the port and were only shipping a couple of dozen units spread out over time.
