USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Nice garage. I had a 1974 MGB with chrome bumpers. It was British racing Green but eventually painted a period orange.
How does the 355 compare to the Emira?
We have a 2 Porsche, Lotus and BMW garage.
The F355 sits lower. It comes across as angrier than the Emira, as it is a V8 and it has a higher redline. It's also a lot more noisy but that is partially because it is a spoiler.

I find the Emira's steering feel is better. The transmission is also more forgiving. Ferrari transmission takes about ten minutes to warm up. It feels like driving a truck otherwise.

The ride of the F355 is harsher as well. I got touring suspension on the Emira, which still seems pretty firm. But if you run over a dime in the Ferrari, you feel it. LOL.

Very different cars, but both exhilarating to drive.

Finally got around to installing the weather stripping so the hard plastic of the seat base does not scrape the leather. Got the striping from Canadian Tire. You can also get it online. Easy to do. Fortunately I had no wear at this point.

Haven't updated the tracking sheet since mid October. A few different shipments came in since then. The most notable is the shipment that arrived in with US cars on 11/30/2025, which are the first batch of model year 2026 Emiras. Amazingly, it looks like we did not and will not get any I4 cars for all of 2025. I guess the batch that they brought over at the end of 2024 was the last ones that they made a production run for. With 3381 cars for the US and 396 cars for CA after 2 years of sales, these are still very rare cars on the road. Image below links to tracking sheet with VINs.

Interesting, and a bit strange, about no 2025 I4s. Haven't kept up with the ordering situation since I took delivery of my V6M mid last year. Was ordering cut off somehow in 2025 or was it just that all I4 orders placed in 2025 were delayed to 2026?

They are skipping the MY25 I4 due to the influx of MY24's at the end of 2024 and to realign with the US industry standard for model year changeover. Hopefully MY27's will arrive mid to late summer like with other brands.

Just heard from Lotus of Houston and my vehicle was on that boat and they expect it next week. I placed original order in March which got caught up in tariff nonsense & cancelled. New order placed in August as 2026-year model. Just maybe in time for Christmas. Fingers crossed build is 100% accurate.

My order wasn’t accurate, my spec as ordered had the black technical fabric and came with alcantara instead, not that I mind.

I now have a VIN so it’s in process at the factory. It’s right on target with what my dealer and Lotus Customer Service said. Has anyone figured out if the VIN is trackable for the shipping details or do we just wait until Nova updates the US delivery schedule and see the VIN in the list?

So...when is the next shipment? I just can't wait anymore.

I'm anxious too! Should have one coming in soon. I googled my VIN and this came up, which makes me think its on a boat. But I don't have an account so cant get much more info

Why is it that most of the production numbers in the VIN begin with 10 1234 and some of them begin with 40 1234? All US cars but the production number part of the VIN is different for some of them. Is there a California variant that is different or something?

I think the digit you mean is the transmission type - 5th from end of VIN. 1 is manual. 2 is automatic. I guess 4 may be DCT???

I figured it out. The number 4 designation refers to the 2026 AMG 4 cylinder cars that are arriving now. The 1 designation refers to the V6.

I remember watching for my new alloys being shipped in, just the wheels - must be so exciting to see your new Emira arrive at the port after a long time of waiting!
