Lightweight seats

The Sparco SPX is basically the same seat that came in the 2017+ Evora's, just different upholstery from Lotus.
They are ok for a general purpose seat but lack bolstering for track or similar use. I would have sore legs and knees from bracing myself after a track day in my previous Evora with them.

Is there an option for the Tillett seat be put on sliders to go forward or backwards?

The Tillett Emira specific bracket kit includes sliders. 👍
Everyone who has installed them so far are all using those.

Is there anyone who has the Tillett seats installed so I can see them near New York, New Jersey or Connecticut?

There is a guy named Steve in NJ who has them in his car. I will email him and see if he will get in touch.

Thanks
Even stable energies motorsports, who I buy race gear from, even told me to reach out to you from New Jersey about the Tillett seats

I met with Steve today and sat in the wider seat which was so comfortable, and for long rides you can alway use a seat cushion and lumbar pillow if needed.
I have a 34 inch waist and there is a little play on the thighs which is good so your legs get a chance to open up.
Your not going anywhere with a 5 or 6 point belt w/ GRP harnes bar.
Greg, are there any specials right now or maybe I can start a group buy since track days wil be starting in the north soon? Message me to discuss

You will not need a seat cushion for long rides. The main thing with our seats is not to be tempted to tip the seat upright. They are far better set with the main fixing bolts parallel to the runners and then extend the steering until the legs are correct.

I have the steering as close to the driver as possible already and would like it closer still
Anyone know a way of achieving this?

You could add a steering spacer but I don’t know how easy that would be with the Emira. Greg would be the best person to ask. Other than that you could sit more upright. Then you could use the B8/B9 shape to achieve this. As the back is more upright on that model, so the hips go back and this effectively brings the steering closer. .

We do free shipping on pairs of seats currently, which saves about $175.
If you wanted to do a group buy we could do a discount on them depending how many ordered.

It will be tough to add a spacer as Steve suggested since the clock spring/airbag wiring would need to be extended. Not really any other good way to do it though unfortunately. Just the limitations of the column used in these cars.

Thanks for the response. Pity, it was very easy to do on the Elise, was hoping the same with the Emira. Oh well, will have to put up with tired arms :)

Steve, I'm slowly trying to make peace with the idea that a folding seat as good as the B10 just won't be a thing, but also want to have enough access to the storage area that sticking carry-on size suitcases wouldn't be a total palaver.

Is it feasible in any way to have runners (even if just on the passenger seat) that would allow sliding all the way forward as far as physically possible to allow bags of that size to sneak past? I've not seen these in person yet, so I don't really know what the clearances are, etc.

I have put cases in the back. I won't pretend it is as convenient but with one seat back and the other forward they go through the middle.

It doesn’t look too bad for access in that pic’. This was one of my sticking points, but it looks OK. The other issue for me is adjustability. I’m 5’9 but my legs are relatively long compared to my upper torso. This means I have to have the seat quite high. Add to that, that I Like the seat back to be leaning back quite a bit, so I don’t know if they’d work for me. Anyone in the south east (UK) have them fitted that wouldn’t mind me sitting in their car to see how they feel?

I am in the south east near West Malling just past Brands Hatch, so you can sit in my car.
I will even adjust the angle to see if you can get comfortable and if not you could try the B8 I have here, which generally will work for long legs as it will sit the hips further back.

Thanks Steve. I’m about to go out of the country with work for a couple of weeks, but will make contact with you on my return.
