Lightweight seats

I don’t have any problems with insurance on the UK. With your question on the height. You can use the side holes to lift the seats but not on the fly as they would need unbolting. You could have a thicker pad made for your wife. I did this for my daughter when she was racing a Golf. They can be supplied on Velcro so you can lift them out and swap them over.
Thanks Steve for your speedy response! Regarding the insurance I assume you just say the seats have been changed? I have heard too many scare stores about people changing the mildest thing and not informing the insurance company and come claim time they get rejected...

So i am reasonably local to Kent compared to most on this forum :) what is the best way to test the seats / try for size ?

Also is it possible to have either Emira or lotus logo stitched into the Headrest pads along with contrast stitching? I am thinking black leather with yellow stitching although depends on the car colour etc. (would prefer Atlantis with yellow calipers silver wheels, yellow badges along with black steering wheel/yellow 12 oclock marker)

Yes, I just informed them I had changed the seats and they put it in the policy using the same thing as when people change wheels.
If you are near Kent you could just come and sit in my car. Or go to the factory. Whichever is the most convenient.
The factory showroom is in Sittingbourne and I live at Offham which is near where the M20 and M26 meet.
You can have the seats trimmed however you wish. Either myself, or my son if you go to the factory, can discuss this with you when you try the seats out.
Please email me and we can arrange a time.
Best regards
Steve

Excellant thanks Steve. I have a test drive next week in a V6 manual both Sports and touring so should get a good idea what the standard seats are like and if I could 'live' with them! I will contact you after this. But previously I had a F430 which I had with carbon buckets as the standard seats I thought terrible.

From what you said there I know you will hate them. The rest of the car is really good though. Have a nice time bouncing around on top of those standard seats.

It'll be interesting to see just how much you hate them :ROFLMAO:

Just dont corner too fast or you'll be sliding around.

So Steve very kindly allowed me to sit in his car and seats and what a difference - I will be ordering soon! for my car which I hope to pickup towards the end of next week. Need to decide on the seat cushion finer colour detail! ;)
