Wow, that is more than we pay for an Emira down under (where taxes are about 45% of the vehicle purchase price)!

Wow. Those taxes are shocking. Damn.
I used to think that we were hard done by in the UK but so many other countries have taxes at a level that would leave me driving a Golf rather than an Emira!!

Agree, as much as the UK seems a complete mess in general, chances of anyone 'normal' getting their hands on a sports car in many EU countries is getting rare, its an easy source of revenue under the 'green' tax smokes and mirrors.

Thank you.........no.
In 2021 I purchased a brand new 2021 Evora GT 410 Sport IPS.
The last new availabe GT 410 Sport in the Netherlands / now only total 3x Dutch GT's.
At the same Dutch Lotus importer I paid € 139.500,- (GBP 122.760,-).
Emira 6V now costs € 151.069,- (GBP 132.940,-)
I knew about the new Emira / had pictures seen but I preferred an Evora GT and now are happier with my choice as ever before. (I am nearly 80 years of age)

If I'm still driving hard edged sports cars at 80, I'll be happy! - hats off to you sir.

And before anyone suggests we Dutchies buy our cars in Germany or Belgium: despite being in the EU which stands for free movement of goods between the members, the Dutch Government also will force you to pay that special vehicle tax (called BPM). I work in Germany, live in the Netherlands: I have to get a permit to drive my German company car. It even gets worse: if you would rent a German car, you would anly be allowed to drive it for a maximum of 6 weeks in The Netherlands....otherwise it will be regarded as an illegal import, so much for the great EU. Of course, the government decided to link this BPM to emissions (so they could continue this illegal taxation). That is why the V6 is so heavily taxed. I am going to buy the i4 which up to now is to be expected to cost around 100K Euro. But the final price is still unkown: the EU homologation, and with that the official emission, is not defined yet. Plus per 1.1.2023 they again increased the BPM!!! Each time someone mentions BPM, it makes my blood boil.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
