Anyone straight pipe their exhaust?

How much drone will this setup create on the v6. I like the idea but I am afraid of droning

Any luck making one?
We made contact. Making custom exhausts is his side hustle outside of working at the race shop. I am on his list but he has other projects before mine. One good thing is that he will be swapping out my downpipe at the same time as a part of the project.

Cool beans. I just want to chop off the muffler and cut the valve plate out of the pipe. Weld a straight section. I found a shop to do it for 500$, but I was hoping to find a custom set up before going this route.

Shinoo@Inokinetic should be developing one soon as well. Hopefully my guy will be doing it soon but it maybe too late as the weather will be changing here in Ohio for the worse in the next couple months.

I think ideally would be to rid of the mufflers and install the anti drone device helmholz chamber that shinoo plans on having with his muffler.

Can’t wait to see some pictures and listen to what it sounds like in a video!

As I prepare to install GRP HF DP and I am kinda underwhelmed with the exhaust note being too soft despite having GRP Ti exhaust as well keeping the valve always open, has anyone custom fabricated a straight Y pipe from DP to tips yet?

Coming from the 4C where I had an aggressive but not obnoxious Magnaflow exhaust without drone, I am yearning for a more aggressive exhaust note.

Rather than responses like "why would you want louder? " Or "OEM exhaust sounds fine..." etc., I want it louder and OEM exhaust sounds weak which is why I am asking this question. 😜 and yes, I know the potential implications of decreased back pressure without a muffler and all that crazy twisty exhaust piping but ECU should adapt right?

Seems like an easy fabrication...Y pipe from DP-midpipe connection to tips in the rear bumper with hangers. Would you go 3" full Ti or stainless?

If anyone is still wondering it’s fantastic, loudest Emira I’ve heard, sounds as good as a full headers valvtronic setup without having to deal with tunes and cel. Just tucked away the controller in safe spot. Used a grp pipe as connector so I didn’t have to develop a new one. Only noticeable drone is 85 mph or over cruising. Backfires like crazy and can really enjoy the pops, baby flames when you get it on highway hot enough too 🙏

I did this on my Evora S although the exhaust was quarter of the length shown above. It was insanely loud. Regretted it immediately. Everywhere you went everyone looked.

The guys who did mine (copied from the plack design on YouTube) said it was the loudest car they had done apart from a decatted Diablo. They drove it up and down the industrial estate and everyone came out to see.

A week later I swapped it back. You've been warned...

I’ve got a straight pipe exhaust on my I4. It’s loud but not obnoxiously so. I can imagine a V6 on straight pipes will scream.

I’ll try to get some clips when I get down to my car. It’s at the shop/track.

It’s good for the I4, but the V6 sounds better of course.

A straight pipe seems to be the easiest option. Sounds good too.
