As I prepare to install GRP HF DP and I am kinda underwhelmed with the exhaust note being too soft despite having GRP Ti exhaust as well keeping the valve always open, has anyone custom fabricated a straight Y pipe from DP to tips yet?

Coming from the 4C where I had an aggressive but not obnoxious Magnaflow exhaust without drone, I am yearning for a more aggressive exhaust note.

Rather than responses like "why would you want louder? " Or "OEM exhaust sounds fine..." etc., I want it louder and OEM exhaust sounds weak which is why I am asking this question. 😜 and yes, I know the potential implications of decreased back pressure without a muffler and all that crazy twisty exhaust piping but ECU should adapt right?

Seems like an easy fabrication...Y pipe from DP-midpipe connection to tips in the rear bumper with hangers. Would you go 3" full Ti or stainless?

Do you have any drone in your ti setup?

Don't think we have anyone on this forum running a straight exhaust setup. You could try and let us know !

@docron Do it, do it, do it!

BTW, I had the dual exit Y Magnaflow on my 4c and the sound was indeed glorious. My only rub with it was the "Y" connector kept cracking even after being re-designed a couple of times, but it was all about the sound!

i4 straight pipe setup.
Btw, SS sounds so much better than Ti on the turbo, ask @Milk242 who had listened to both SS and Ti side by side. SS almost sounds like a V6.

Shouldn't be that difficult right? Pretty straight forward. And then just keep Miltek valve controller connected separately and tuck it up in the rear bumper to keep CANBUS satisfied.

Except this version takes out the downpipe as well (i.e., this starts all the way up on the turbo). I think @docron was considering starting from the downpipe exit which is where all the aftermarket exhausts begin.
The track car from Lotus racing academy in China has a straight downpipe and exhaust. Trust me, your neighbor will hate you for it.

He has no neighbors, very lucky lives in gigantic property! I also think the car needs to be waaaaay louder, our 4C's were almost a menace to society lol

I love the idea of a no muffler exhaust. Not sure how the ECU would, 02 and egt sensors are going to be confused no?
