What did you do to your Emira today?

I had a scuffed alloy repaired today. I took out the alloy wheel cover when I bought the car new and managed two and a half years without getting the slightest nick on any of them and then pulled into a layby in front of a small village shop and it was like the surface of the moon, I missed the deepest pothole with my front wheel but sadly clipped it with the rear, hence the damage.

I have to say claiming under the alloy wheel insurance was simple and the repair was done promptly, quickly and to a very high standard. Very impressed.

Which company did you use for alloy insurance & how much did you pay for how much cover? I've done mine in again, hit a pot-hole in the dark and it got both wheels. I'll get them repaired myself but with the state of the roads at the moment this is starting to add up and insurance is starting to look good.

Geoff, it was the insurance offered by Lotus when buying the car new, it was £229 for 3 years cover, and something like a maximum of 18 claims! It was via Car Care Plan, an Amtrust company.

@geoffbland I'd contact Jon Seal and see if he does an Alloy wheel policy, or can get one organised, considering you already have the car warranty with him.
Might get a multi policy discount :)

First Night turning the lights on Green to match the new cooler.

What lights did you end up going with?
I had a shop install them but I control the lights with my phone using this app. The N8H-1AF are the under glow and the others are in the vents but I don’t have them on in this pic. They’re on trays so they’re secure and you can’t see the light source dots. I feel like it looks cheap when you can see the LEDs themselves.
