VF Tuner - i4 ECU tuning interest thread

Right now we want to do this for USDM only, we may expand out after.
although without any orders we won't pursue this to be honest...
 
I'm in Italy so can't commit atm. But if it was open to EU/UK and it was an easy swap (plug and play tuned ECU with original and vice versa) and that would take care of any servicing not noticing anything weird, then I would be super interested in.

That's a a shame, guess I'll have to make do with my 360bhp:(.
I know its only been a couple of days but I thought you'd have been inundated with provisional orders by now, seems an absolute bargain to me for what your offering.

As you're UK based, you can just send the ECU to Bflash in Belgium directly to be unlocked. Then pick your UK AMG tuner to tune it... https://bflash.eu/uk/lotus-emira-ecu-unlock. No need to make do with your 360 hp...(or you can JB4)

Just a reminder if you get it unlocked by Bflash, you can only use Bflash software for tuning. Other tuning software won't work.
 
Good news for UK Emira owners, cloning and tunes are available now.
The tune is a little weak but still better than a JB4 with much better curve and different options.

It's similar to JB4's Map1 and Map2, it's actually sad to know.
I was expecting ECU tune can make 365hp to 470hp just like they did on a 400hp I4 version. I thought the hardware is basically the same, why can't make the same output?

That's what that company provides. Not us.
Sucks that advertising for competitors products are happening in all of our product threads.

But to be fair, you have stated that your not supplying overseas, only the US.

VFTuner - were you able to generate additional interest through other Channels and Forums. Beside the two of us in this forum?
If interest remains low, perhaps a partnership with BoomGear where 'royalties' are shared. Appears they've developed a map at 2.4 bar of boost which might be a sweet spot for people who don't want to go to far.

All assuming their map profile is on a platform your able leverage with your current equipment. This way you can avoid the huge expense of renting or purchasing a Turbo Emira to build out maps and refine.

Actually 3, as I also said I'm interested. But it seems nothing is available for 365hp cars.

Just you 3 so far.

I have an ECU sitting here on my desk. I'm working on flash programming. I think if we have a method to update tunes without people needing to send ECUs back after first unlock it will be a huge advantage.
 
Let me get some clarification, I live in the US, is the info your are collecting commitments for?

We'd like to know how many people would be *legitimately* interested in a solution from us.
VF Tuner will take care of everything for you, including shipping your ECU out for unlocking if needed.
Two options are what would be provided
ECU cloning and swapping. You send us your ECU, we read the necessary information from it, clone it onto a tuneable ECU, return both to you.

I do have a means to download the files to computer using the OBDII port.
Would this be an option that would suit your system of ECU re-mapping?
I’m more than happy to send you the files for a cross check, if you would be willing to assess the value of sending files.

Not sure if I understand you correctly but If you have a mean to download all data (data copy and conversion) from your ECU then you have successfully cloned the original ECU. All you need is to find an older version of M139 ECU and copy everything over, then any of your local MB tuners will be able to tune it for you.

Thank you so much for your comments. ECU’s are certainly out of my field of expertise, but I am assisting a tuning guy who is keen like most, I’m sure, in ‘cracking the code’ for the AMG engine.
If or as progress is made, I will be sure to pass on to anyone interested what is discovered.
One query I do have is in relation to obtaining the correct ‘older model’ ECU to use as the clone. Is there a recognised Merc part number that we should look for? For example one ECU for sale reads: Genuine Mercedes OEM A45 CLA45 M133 ECU 2014 2.0L turbo AMG A2709000900
The ID number: A 270 900 09 00 appears on the ECU identification sticker.
Another offering reads: Genuine Mercedes OEM A45s W177 M139.980 ECU 2021 2.0L turbo AMG A1399001300. That number A1399001300 appears on the ID sticker.
The former is from a 2014 (m133) car the later a 2021 (m139) model.
Is there an ID number we should be using to find the correct ECU to forward on as a clone.
