Shift Knob Replacement

I have two of them as well lol, my first one the wood instantly fell off the metal knob and Lotus replaced it. I repaired the old one and use that. From what I heard they are now listed at over 1k USD, probably because they used it on the Jim Clark cars and don't want copycats?

I have one on order. Not sure what the turnaround is from Black Forest, but I'm hoping it comes soon. I am not a fan of the stock aluminum knob.

I’ve had mine for 6 months and love it.

Great quality and size. Nice weight too. In my opinion it matches the caliber of the car. I went with the 6 speed coin and think it’s less flashy than the branded coin.

I really wish there was a way to shorten the length of the original factory rod.

Then it would be perfect.

I really used to love carbon fiber, but had it on my last 3 Porsche and am kind of over it....however, that interior of yours looks great...mhhh

Had the matte finish in my 24 Vantage and went with gloss here. You obviously are a man of great taste. By the way,the Emira is much more fun then the Vantage at half the price.

Got the shift knob from rodakgarage. Very nice quality. It is light at 58g in comparison to the oem 116g- but to be honest, I can’t tell the different during shifting. Was a little tricky to get the shifter logo lined up since no set screw, used an eraser and some blue loctite. looks and feels great. And it looks fantastic with tan leather and racing green.

What size is yours? I ordered the single piece mahogany version, but I asked for 49mm size. I have a 51mm aluminum one which for me is just slightly larger than I'd like, and the 47mm factory size is a touch too small.

I can measure when I get home. But it is larger than the oem one. I can’t imagine he can get it any smaller with the reverse lockout recess in there since it would make the wood very thin in certain spots

*edit* actually you said yours is the single piece so that is likely stronger and you can get away with more sizes.

It is 49.5mm. It feels like a good size.

i have determined how to make this and it weighs more than the stock knob to boot!

Yeah we were doing the coin version but there was a machining mistake and so we had to revert back to the OG design.

It was good that we still did this design as i wanted to test some theories on how to assemble these without them coming apart overtime or by someone ham fisting it too hard.
