Shift Knob Replacement

Nice work. I have the Lotus version and really like it but would be interested in one of these if there are some customization options.
Planning on brass and stainless 304. Another finish like passivated or nickel plating etc will be an extra.

I’ll try to source a handful of wood species initially. Optionally customers can send in a block of their choosing.

All this talk about wood this wood that...

i have determined how to make this and it weighs more than the stock knob to boot!
prototype is being made.

do you want milled wood pattern or coin with pattern milled in?

Amazing, will def take a steel and/or brass one.. make us a matching one for our evos . Will they be raw or varnished?

Would something like this be possible? This is an OEM Lotus knob, stacked wood pattern, which is discontinued.

Try these guys:

Not sure if I would buy but stock size with an aluminum top coin to matching the shaft finish and heavier than stock would be dope…

I've been looking for something like this recently after seeing the one in the Jim Clark edition. +1 for an aluminium top coin that matches the finish of the gear shifter shaft.

Aluminum might not be made due to the difference in mass. I have designed these to be only 2 parts to simplify cnc op and assembly. So that only leaves ss and brass. There might be a way we can achieve a similar finish to the alu on the shifter.

Made this bad boy from 304 for the evo. Modeled after the Ti knob from ARC with an extension.

Amazing, but what is even more interesting is the charger that has replaced that ash tray haha!?
Yeah I need to finish up that design… works well at the track!

Got the shift knob from rodakgarage. Very nice quality. It is light at 58g in comparison to the oem 116g- but to be honest, I can’t tell the different during shifting. Was a little tricky to get the shifter logo lined up since no set screw, used an eraser and some blue loctite. looks and feels great. And it looks fantastic with tan leather and racing green.

Well, if you wanted to see it "in situ".

Well, I loved this shift knob so much, I had to get another EXACTLY like it!!

The "problem?" is that it happens to have a car attached to it.......

Oh yeah, I may have to change my member name....

EDIT: My user name WAS "NoEmiraYet"

I had a painted shifter knob on a Megane. It looks lovely but it can get slippery if your hand gets hot and sweaty and I was always worried about my wedding ring scratching it.

Another one from rodakgarage. Amazing fit and finish. Can’t recommend him enough.

IMO, the finish of the top coin doesn’t look as good as the ones shown on Mr. Suntorytime’s post #330. I also find his matching CNC version to look the best. Admittedly, I do like the wood color on yours.

Thanks. i also spent so much time getting the font to match the knobs from Elise/Exige/Emira.

I have two of them as well lol, my first one the wood instantly fell off the metal knob and Lotus replaced it. I repaired the old one and use that. From what I heard they are now listed at over 1k USD, probably because they used it on the Jim Clark cars and don't want copycats?
