Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Today we have completed another round of test.. with side by side runs and eventually a solo run with a race box (see reports below). The Map2 basically operated as oem (map0), this was also evident on the last runs done and shared. The map1 being the only map that showed a slight difference. Hence we can conclude that map2 did not work (connected with the wire). The logs have been send to jb4 for analysis.

Run1 is map0
Run3 is x
Run4 Green is map1
Run5 is map2

There is definitely something not right with those numbers.

I’ve done 0-100kmh in less than 5 seconds (recorded on dragy) in a totally stock car and with a laughably slow 1st to 2nd gear change (not to mention heaps of wheel spin at the start).
Others have recorded times under 4.5 seconds, and I have no doubt my stock car could do the same with a more aggressive launch and a better driver than me in the seat.

Have you had your car on a dyno to check it’s making the power it should be?

Mine showed 284 rwkW totally stock, which is in the ballpark of several others on here, and more than Lotus actually claim.

Hey bro, export a log in excel format

I have reported earlier that 0-100 with a massive clutch dump was around 5.6/5.8 seconds but recorded ballpark with the phone start/stop and not a draggy. The numbers I have above were without a clutch dump but rather a soft launch.

I have done a dyno once (see below) and that was with the jubu440. The numbers were promosing but yet again side by side runs with same mod emira except the performance upgrade.. the difference were neglectable.. hardly any difference which is odd because on paper the power was thwre. As of now the car does perform same with a same mod car.

Temps were today again 44/45 degrees C.

if you’re getting the same performance in Map 2 and 0

if you’re getting no improvement in Map2 vs 0 then there’s got to be something wrong with your module.

ive send the log over to burgertuning.

Perhaps the heat is affecting max boost level ie. not allowing x.x psi ? 45 c is very hot

Thanks for sharing your data with Berger. Looking forward to seeing how this is resolved.

45C? And you're out there doing performance tests? 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥

Well those temps are pretty normal here.. so when would I do a test and make sure it works? The 2 months out of 12 where the temp drops just under 30? :)

I mean, hate to be a bearer of bad news, but if external temps are 45c intake temps are going to be higher than that. It's going to be awful for oxygen density. I think there's a good chance your car is operating at the edges of functional range.

I'm certainly not your engine tuner, and I'm sure people who do tune these may be able to look at logs. But modifying the tune can't correct for everything being hot.

Keep in mind, in the US spring and fall are "Dyno time" for cars like A80 Supras because the 10c or colder weather promotes better power numbers and bragging rights.

I would defo agree with that. Its absolutely beyond normal operaring ranges and guess thats the reason why but gotta have to wait till January for that. Will report back in 6 months 😂

Side note, I'm digging your rear wing. Do the laterals need to be drilled along with the central swan neck?

no need, only the sides.. center is double taped. Best wing available currently on the market imo.

45c will affect the air density for sure but that slowdown to 5.2s seems quite large for the temperature difference especially with a rolling start. Assuming engine and the intercooler are not over hot too. Bear in mind I'm not a car mechanic & just going on the kind of things I've heard so maybe talking garbage.
