I think you misunderstood the premise of my comment. There is a post by a customer addressing not having the OBD2 connection. The dialogue and email had stated that JB4 can be used without the obd2 connected but that only Map 1 will be activated. While you can select other map2 and on without obd2 connection, they will not be activated according to that email discussion with Berger MotorsportsNo really confusing when thinking about. The OBD is really just a recording portal of some sort. It collects data, but doesn`t do anything but record it. It doesn`t act on the data. The ECU is the thing that acts on the engine depending of what the engine is doing. The JB4 sits in between 2 the ECU 'sensors" and provides new info to the ECU to act on. If this info is going to make the engine shite itself, the ECU acts and blocks this from happening. The Burger boys(or persons, if that`s what you prefer), manipulate the data through these 2 inputs up to the level where the ECU say""no more". The OBD collects the "no more" data.
I THINK?
