Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Simple way to put it, we are a much more advanced tuning system vs the latter. No other piggyback will ever come close to what the JB4 system offers, they use a very rudimentary way of doing things.

Thanks for your reply. Can you give any insight why or how your stock Emira shows essentially 434bhp on base map when others show right around 400bhp +/- a couple hp. This is on stock maps! Also, what is the max boost on your 93-octane setting from stock boost. Never really considered RennTech or TDI as "very rudimentary" they are major players in the market place 🤷‍♂️

Thank you

The dynojet is just a tool that shows the output on that given day, time, etc. The estimated guess on drivetrain loss is not a conclusive way to determine actual power in which you are trying to calculate and compare.

Boost is a dynamic function that varies on IAT, Elevation, DA, etc. In terms of the 2.0T engine of course.
On the V6 3.5L SC engine IIRC it was around 7psi stock, and 9psi on the 93 octane map.

Their device is rudimentary, no quotes needed. As an engineering standpoint, tuning standpoint, safety standpoint. I don't even consider them a competitor :)
Read the FAQ I sent you.

Fair enough thanks for the responses and time 👍

Something odd is going on here with these numbers. They rate your car stock almost 34bhp more than the normal 400bhp. @387.5rwh which equates to 434bhp.. Renntech shows 359whp which makes much more sense stock, add 12% and it gets you too 402.bhp, much more reasonable. Looking at the numbers it gets really crazy as JP4 is showing 90bhp total gain. It doesn't add up. RENNTech shows 35bhp gains, and TDI shows 50bhp gains, JP4 double that or more. It reached 497bhp, (444rwhp). I realize TDI and Renn are using BHP while Burg is using RWH. I did the conversions but it is basically twice the horsepower of the other units or more if their rwhp values ar to be used! I wonder whats really going on here
The JB4 test car wasn't factory stock, so the baseline run was for that car not a factory stock car. I had mine dynoed stone stock on a hub dyno, and it showed 369.6 hp to the rear wheels. That translates to a drivetrain loss of 7.6%, assuming the engine hp is actually 400. This is a V6 with manual trans.

Eagle7 did you add the JB4 module to your car? If so are you planning to re-dyno, would be nice to see an independent comparison.

Ahh you see, I knew it.,this is exactly where it should have been. What mods could he have that has him with that much horsepower withan i4 before the jp4

lol just a drop in filter and cat delete. its also the v6.

Improving airflow in and reducing exhaust back pressure to allow better exhaust airflow out. It makes a difference. The factory intake and exhaust system is fairly restrictive, as factory systems typically are.

I have one on order, and yes I will re-dyno at the same place so the previous dyno graphs will be on the chart for comparison.

At this point there are dozens of installs. I wonder what condition is causing this fault. Humidity? bad gas? faulty MAF? Faulty JB4?

looks like discount has reached its limit
Its all sorted out now… it works however only Map1 works.. Map2 will ONLY work if you connect the odb data cable to the piggyback so that I can read all the parameters and adjust. This is the info I got from JB4 which was not shared here before I believe… so if you are running thr JB4 without the hard wire then you are only getting map1 performance regardless what you select/see in the app

Depends on your fuel quality, IAT, AF , and among other variables, you might need to tweak a bit to run a higher map or not at all. This is why I keep telling everyone to start at the lowest map, log and check the data before you run a higher map. What works on someone else’s car doesn’t mean it will work for you. If you know how to tune using live data you can create your own custom map as well.

Without CANBUS for logging, other piggyback will only up the boost just slightly for safety reason. JB4 is able to achieve higher boost because using log they are able to tell what the limit is for each individual car with it’s different variables.

Well this is new news!
So how long do you need the OBD cable connected, before you can go with map2? I wasn’t going to connect and OBD and probably wouldn’t have bought it if I’d known that.
