Which jack points are you using? Surely not the front factory jack point? I don't think TL is long enough to do that?My car is currently up on the quickjack 7000tl

Nope, only back jack point and the front is on the frame railWhich jack points are you using? Surely not the front factory jack point? I don't think TL is long enough to do that?
I guess it depends what you consider heavy. It has wheel on one end where you can wheel it around. The wheels are small and tiny plastic so don’t expect it to go over rough pavement very well. If I had to wheel it from inside to a driveway, I wouldn’t buy them cause that would be probably very annoying to meDon’t have a garage right now so how annoying would it be to move these quick jacks from inside my house to the driveway when needed? The long reach floor jack is pretty heavy at like 100 pounds so I’d consider quick jacks if it’s not a hassle to move them around
Same. No issues with that size.My car is currently up on the quickjack 7000tl
IMO, the 'ultimate' QJ for the Emira is the one that fits the Emira and as many other cars as you have. I'm still using the 7000TLX which grabs the rear jack point on the Emira and then the angled front frame section (that everyone showed in prior posts). QJ rubber blocks at all four locations.May I ask, what's the ultimate QJ to get for Emira? My other cars are E36 and a corolla. Would QJ 5000TL work?
I understand that the sticker end has to be at the rear jack point and the front aspect has to be at the frame point where it begins to turn inward.
Were you able to place the U-jack under the front jack points?Tried the U-Jack yesterday for the first time and it worked great. Was able to reach the jack points with no problem and slide a jack stand underneath easily after getting the car up. Clearance under car was fine but there was not much extra room so I wouldn't recommend it for lowered cars.
Yes. I started with the jack point by the rear wheel since that's that "main" jack point. As expected, this lifted the whole side of the car up. I then put a jack stand under the U-Jack at the rear Jack point, lowered the U-Jack, letting the jack stand hold up the car and moved to the front Jack point which was already up on the air but needed to be lifted further by the U-Jack to get to equal height with the rear Jack stand. Rinse and repeat with the other side of the car. Were you able to place the U-jack under the front jack points?
Pretty cool. Did you use any sort of jack stand pads with it? or did you just let the jack points sit metal to metal on the stands?Yes. Great question, I actually cut up a rubber hot plate to create a few homebrew jack pads and prevent the metal to metal contact. Worked well. Hopefully we don't need it for Thanksgiving!Pretty cool.
