My understanding - and happy to be corrected as it’s only as a result of some basic research, not first hand knowledge - is that the 5000TLX allows the factory jack points to be used.

No, in my experience. 5000TLX is the same length as 7000TLX (mine), and both models will not hit both factory jack points. And based on the lateral shift of the front points, even if a QJ was long enough, your front tire would probably be in the way.

You just use the rear lifting point and then either before or after the “kink” in the frame. I have used both and works fine both ways

I always use the rear lift point with a rubber block and the side rail (not side skirt) with rubber block using my 7000tlx. It’s sat on the lift for a couple of days while I was changing my downpipe and catback exhaust.
