DIY: V6 Burger Motorsports JB4 Installation

In a more simple term, power comes on earlier and more at the top, that's how piggyback fools the ecu in giving more boost. CANbus connection gives you a way to monitor if everything is running ok, and this is how JB4 can achieve a higher boost than other generic piggyback systems because they can monitor where the limit is, whereas the others could only you a minimal boost for safety reason.

@kitkat @NoFear99 that's my fault, I totally read it wrong -- thanks! PS -- not sure if you're the first one with this tuner installed, but I sure would appreciate your feedback on it after you've had a chance to drive. Thanks!

I’ve been on the 93 map with a mix of ACN 91 and 5 gal of 100 octane all weekend. It pulls hard mid and top end for sure! I honestly need to put more aggressive brake pads back in because the speed builds up very quickly now. Drivability is completely untouched, it’s the same car with just a lot more power and torque.

How’s the sound? I’m assuming a lot more angry.

Yes there’s definitely more sound now, not sure how to describe that.

(y)Mixing 100 gas with 91 or 92 gas to achieve 93 AKI is actually a good idea. This gave me hope to run map 2 where 93 gas is not available.

in general, does it feel like the map that Lotus would have used if emissions was not a thing? or are there any points in the rev range where it feels like things need to be a bit more ironed-out?

Seems too quiet after these installs! --- any updates to share on your observations?
I did my first test yesterday evening. I only have 91 gas here but I was also running agressive tune with my previous car by using good quality expensive octane booster like Amsoil - NOS or VP to reach a solid 93-95 octane level.

I started with map1 and found the car already more nervous and better throttle response. The kick at 4500+RPM is very sharp and noticeable. This is exactly how this car should have been straight from the factory and meet the expectation it deserve that way.

The boost level reach 8.5 psi on map1.

I have been able to capture a log with map1 but I dont understand well how the app work and for whatever reason my logs on map2 seem lost / not recorded… Disapointed. I will try to find watch online video to better understand how to record and save the log properly.

Talking about map2, I did a pull in second gear at wide open throttle from around 4K rpm in second gear until fourth gear. The car is pushing and stepping forward really hard, the supercharger noise is higher pitched. You can feel that the mecanic is pushed to the maximum. You will need good reflex to avoid hitting the cutoff into 2nd and 3rd gear because it climb fast and 6800RPM feel even shorter too low then before. With a 7200rpm limit we could shift at 6800-7000 without always being affraid to hit the cutoff.

I would not push my car with the map2 on a track for long period of time or drag the car in 1st gear because I feel like it is really pushing the envelopp into dangerous territory no joke.

It is monney well spend for sure for now.

If I blew something later on it could be a different story, time will tell.

The driveability of the car is in no way sacrifice or compromise for daily driving with the JB4.

All the burbles and popping exhaust noise are still there either.

Enjoy !

You can export it in an excel format, with numbers that are easier to read.

Do you have any mods on your car, like intake and/or exhaust? The AFR is running on the rich side, which I was wondering if that's by design, or just that your ECU hasn't adjusted to it yet.

93 Octane map on ACN91 with a bottle of boostane shot, Terry at Burger tuning just OKed it.
