Yep they are worth billions but they won’t prop up the UK side of Lotus forever especially when MW has already admitted that it’s partly their fault.Geely has deep pockets I believe.
You can see MW is worried and continuously talking about margins.

I’m still in disbelief that TomE treatment when like he mentions all his parts should be available and there is no reason whatsoever that he should be pushed behind later depositors. It could be due to parts supply but I don't think so. My spec shares identical parts with cars being delivered before mine for people with later deposits. I thought it might be Homelink or Tracker due to chip supply issues, but several Homelink cars will be delivered before mine. There are yellow cars, cars with black calipers or DC wheels or black leather interiors all being delivered to post reveal depositors two months before mine. One of the first 50 cars is identical to my spec but going to someone with a 6 July deposit. Yet Lotus said they would try to prioritise based on deposit date.
It's not just me. I know of 15 other pre-reveal folks with similarly delayed deliveries and with no single similarity between their specs. There are pre-reveal folks in the first 25 and second 70, but they don't make up the majority of each. It just seems to be random. They may have recorded the dates incorrectly (it's happened before) or they may have tried to start our builds early and hit an approvals issue (like with the demo cars).
Some of you probably think this is just "first world problems". I think it shows Lotus aren't prepared to be open with a bunch of early adopter customers, in many cases serial owners. And of course, queuing is a national pastime in the UK and we hate people jumping the line![]()
Tom this is showing Lotus true colours, they are not willing to let you know what has happened and also it seems like they have not tried or wish to put it right for you and the other people impacted. Like it or lump seems to be the Lotus way !It could be due to parts supply but I don't think so. My spec shares identical parts with cars being delivered before mine for people with later deposits. i can understand my situation as a pre- reveal customer, who wanted a test drive first, Lotus are at fault for my place in the queue due to not providing demos, though promising all year. Latest from my dealer as of yesterday is now November, so slipped again. But for other pre-reveal customers and particularly Tom who seems to know personnel at Lotus is in excusable. I really do feel sorry for all these dedicated Lotus customers who have been let down. This is shocking - do Porsche do this to their long standing customers - apparently not - they reward them by giving them access to GT cars!Tom this is showing Lotus true colours, they are not willing to let you know what has happened and also it seems like they have not tried or wish to put it right for you and the other people impacted. As a customer if you have ordered something that was going to get delivered by order date and this is not what Lotus are doing surely it is not too much to expect, know and understand why this has not been followed
This is supposedly the benefit and joy of being an early depositor that your one of the fist ones to get your car !

I agree with everything you said Tom as I am in the same boat, as I think 5th October 2019 classes me as an early deposit holder. It could be due to parts supply but I don't think so. I think a lot of hope is planned on a second shift becoming operational. No doubt something else will happen in the world and our deliveries will be impacted before January/February/March.I'm 8th of July so could be 400 cars after you, just had a reply from Abi too, only info she could give me was, they will be contacting me in the next few weeks to discuss my emira delivery.
From that I take it April at least.
Last week Abi told me I was on for October build Nov delivery, I told her to contact the factory or her team leader and get their story straight.
Joke.
autos are looking like Q2....... nothing official, unless you count Lotus Australasia guy saying it to be so...The last time I spoke to cs (late September) I was in the October build for an automatic but haven’t heard anything this month other than the order update with Harry’s garage from Geoff Dowding, Today I checked out a few insurance companies for an Emira, Manual no problem but NO Automatic on any sites. There can’t be much difference between the cars for Approval other than the transmission. Have somebody dropped the ball getting the Approval rating by only submitting the manual version in the allotted time for the UK (read cut off date in a previous thread) I can’t see me having my car this side of Christmas and I will contact cs this week. I got the car booked into Topaz detailing for full PPF and I will need to update them with another postponement (was an August build)so far they have been very understanding but we’re in the lap of the gods, or Lotus production schedule same thing.
What a weaponThe Dealer selling (or not) my gt4 has just had this in for Emira money, quite tempted to go and have a drive if it turns out I'm bumped into an undetermined month next year.
But I've come so far down the emira journey and I think if they hold my fe price it will be a bargain when they inevitable bump the base models 3-5k (my guess)

I will be majorly pissed if their failure to deliver ends up with us paying moreA mate waiting on his gt4 just been told finance going up to 10.7 1st Nov then likely 11.7 Dec, added nearly 200 a month with a 25k deposit.
Be amazed if lotus hold 6.9 for next years deliveries
