12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

Anyone have any issues with vibration or safety concerns on the road and heavy track use with the 12 mm spacers?

I’ve just fitted hubcentric 12mm all around and have light wobble at 80+ although I feel it’s very much subjective to the road. I’m in the UK and I just went for a long drive after removing them and refitting making sure to wire brush down and full clean and it’s a little better.

What I do note is that these cars feel everything through the steering wheel so everything is now exacerbated due to the spacers… I’m not sure if it was like this before but I do remember that without at 80mph+ the steering felt everything… so I think it’s maybe exactly the same? Maybe I’ll get the wheels balanced as they’re now 3000 from factory and they can balance with the spacers on.

If anyone has comment to the above I’d appreciate others viewpoint.

I had pretty bad vibration at highway speeds after first install of the GRP 12mm spacers but it was admittedly done in haste after messing with lowering cups all day.

I re-installed them being more thorough with the cleaning process and it was MUCH better. However, now a couple months later, I do notice some vibration at highway speeds around 70-85mph depending on the road. Sometimes it's perfectly smooth but then other times I think to myself that I should try to re-install yet a 3rd time. It's not bad enough for me to remove them but I'd like to remove the vibration for sure. I do think this car is more sensitive than most due to the chatty steering so that's likely a big part of it.

For what it's worth, I also did have the wheels balanced after the initial install and they were nearly perfect so I don't think that wheel balancing is the issue (at least in my case).

I would also like to hear others' feedback.

Trying to think if it’s any difference prior to fitting them 😅🤌🏼

Yea after doing more consideration I didn’t pull the trigger on spacers. I will allocate all funds for new lighter wheels with a better offset. Honestly when I’m ready I will probably ask Aeire to make my stock OEM silver wheel design but better offset and lighter material they use. I do love the stock wheel.

When I was running the GRP 12mm spacers I had no issues or vibration they were perfect - also I felt the fronts could come out a little more, probably easily 2mm for 14mm total.

0 issues with my GRP 12mms all around, though I feel like 12F/15R would have been a better fit. I'm also dropped 1" all around with GRP lowering kit.
0 added vibrations or wobbles at any speeds I've driven.

If you get any sort of wobble or added vibration, remount them and make sure there is no debris in between the hub and the spacer. Torque the lugs to ~80ft-lb (around 108nm) and check again, if issue persists, remove the spacers and sanity check if the spacers are indeed causing issues.

But yeah if you are going to get wheels soon, dont bother with spacers. Save a small chunk on spacers + extended bolts.
