Trying to get mine installed. I used your trick of feeding a stiff cable through the rubber grommet. I only had to pull the carpeted corner piece out, I didn't need to remove the back panel. The white panel on the right in this image, is the plastic fuse box cover. The white part is actually peelable sticky paper. Not sure why they left it on the cover. I removed the fuse box cover which made it much easier to get at the grommet to remove it, and access the hole.

I had a piece of video cable that I had used to feed through the hole the first time, but didn't think about the fact that it's black, along with every other cable in the engine bay. I couldn't tell which was which, so I pulled it back out, and put a piece of bright blue painter's tape on the end, and that did the trick. I could then spot it easily after feeding it back through the hole. It's down there pretty far. I used a long flexi grabber tool to grab the end of the video cable, and pulled it up far enough to grab it with my hand and pull it up within easy reach.
I cut an X hole in the middle of the grommet, fed the end of the OBD cable through, then taped the end of it to the end of the video cable, and pulled it through to the engine bay and up high enough to connect to the JB4.
My problem now is where to put the JB4 unit. The Eventuri allows for easier access in that area, but it's shape doesn't let you rest anything on it like the stock airbox. In addition, since the entire Eventuri has to be removed to clean the air filter, I can't put the JB4 anywhere where it would interfere with that. Looks like I'm going to need one of those mounting brackets. Hopefully
@GRP has them in stock.
I'm stopped at the moment because I don't have the bracket, and it's also too hot already. It's supposed to be 100+ today.
