Track Cars & Brake Issues

So I couldn't stand the RP1s - didn't like them on track (tough warm up), and didn't like them on the street. I was also having braking issues with other pads and significant decrement in performance after several hard laps. Probably heat soak in the brakes? What made a huge difference was getting the Girodisc rotors. I've had no significant issues since moving to them. Using the Pagid pads from GRP which I really like both on track and on the street. So I'd be curious if your issues go away if you moved to Girodic rotors.
Unfortunately they didn’t help. The Girodiscs warped first session and the pagids had severe degradation. I resurfaced the Girodiscs and reinstalled the RP1s for now as I couldn’t justify dropping another $600 or so on new pads.

We’ll see how that works at the next track day.

ouch, that hurts, sorry to hear that

haha you're telling me! It is what it is, we will give this a go and find out. Maybe there is something deeper going on. I have brake ducts too. I can't imagine this keeps happening simply due to a failed bedding procedure, but you never know.

It sounds to me like insufficient bedding. It takes a lot to warp iron rotors, IMO.
