Hi Everyone,

Only tracked the car twice, both times this has occurred.

For those of you who have actually used the brakes to the maximum capability on a track day have you found any issues with the rear Brake handbrake dragging. I am assuming from thermal expansion. First stop is of course the Jubu brake cooling ducts.

The local dealer said the rear hand brake calipers need calibration and on checking it is set correctly. This can only be done with the dealer tool??? Anyone have any experience in relation to this. Wonder also how we go about changing our own rear rotors if this is the case.

Also note I always do a cool down lap and turn off the automatic handbrake engagement as well as move the car forward and back a few times whilst it is back in the pits.

I've gotten my brakes super hot - the iron turned blue-ish, and the caliper paint changed color, but no, the parking brake doesn't drag at all. I've not worked with the parking brake on this car yet, but my other cars with an EPB have a calibration procedure for the electronic caliper (Subaru and Porsche). My diagnostic tool, though, can't interface with the Lotus control modules so I don't know what the procedure involves.

Thanks, Good to see your using them. Unfortunate callipers do change colour but part of using them.
My local dealer is really good here, Ill have to ask him to show me the procedure, supposedly no further adjustment.
If this was an actual issue then I would highly expect you'd be seeing the same thing. This doesn't do this on normal spirited driving only when I've been to the track.
