The mesh on the exposed gear linkage V6 manual.

Does anyone know if the mesh cage surrounding the gear linkage could be easily removed on the manual? I’m guessing it needs to be there to meet safety regulations but it’s such a beautiful piece of engineering I’d love to have it totally visible. It’s like a clear case back on an automatic watch or something. And the cage isn’t particularly appealing.

I did find an image of Emira without the cage and it looks awesome.
