Post a pic of the car you replaced with your Emira! And impressions too.

replace? No, I just add.

Replaced this with the Emira. As for comparison, unfair as they are totally different cars. Once I get past break in I’ll be able to provide a more realistic view. But in the short time I’ve had the lotus. The 488 was a really big and fast video game - super fast shifts, big wide car, sultry Italian mistress. The lotus requires me to drive it and pay attention. Which I love. Miss the smaller size, manual gear box and looking forward to cheaper consumables from track days. 🤣

Ferrari 360 Modena Gated Manual

Both are awesome. When I read comments about Lotus concerns I think to my self, "they haven't experienced used/old Ferrari problems and it shows haha". The lotus overall is an upgrade thanks to the interior, refined handling, and warranty. The power and speed feel similar to the 360. ( I heard the Emira is more similar to the 430, but I've never drove one of those.)

Its very easy to stall out in the 360 due to its narrow sweet spot when releasing the 3rd petal. (It happens with experience drivers.) The Emira is way more forgiving, I'm not worried about stalling at a red light every time and cars honking behind me lol.

car sound:
-The Lotus 3rd Decat and Valve Controller feels like a necessary game changer. Without it, the older Ferrari had more personality.
-The lotus does have awesome pops and crackles in sports mode which the 360 never had.
-The Ferrari has a slightly higher pitch sound note when going through tunnels.

Looks:
-To each is their own, they're both timeless designs. The only thing that really ages the Ferrari is the headlights and interior. I believe you sit lower in the Ferrari as well.
-Personally ONLY thing I'd say is def better than the lotus is the engine design. It simply is more of an event look at when you pop the trunk than the Toyota v6.(mainly b/c of the shape)

Branding: The Ferrari logo is recognized everywhere, so you'll run into people with predetermined opinions. Sometimes extremely supportive, sometimes random challengers.
The Lotus brand isn't as recognizable, so there's more of an intrigued /curious reaction. The Emira community is a bit harder to build( since its new) vs grabbing a Ferrari and showing up to the monthly Ferrari meets.

After driving the Emira for 2months, I can say it's what I was hoping for as a new weekend toy. The YouTube Emira comparisons are interesting, b/c I never was cross shopping the lotus with the cars they compare it to. It was more of a debate New Lotus vs. used R8? New Manual Last ICE Lotus vs. Last Edition Gallardo automatic convertible? The honest answer is...I just need a bigger garage.

@Gprodigy I would think the f360 blows the emira out of the water on sound but I have to say I’m really impressed with the noise the emira makes with the supercharged v6. It’s not a high revving v8, but there is a lot of theater. However, F360 with an aftermarket exhaust is pretty incredible.

I sold my 2021 Civic Type R Limited Edition, number 367/600, for purposes of picking up the Emira.

For the price point, the Civic Type R is in a league of its own. For $50k you get incredible reliability, comfort, sportiness, and rareness. I NEVER see a Type R in the wild, lead alone a Phoenix Yellow Limited Edition. For daily driving, the car is an absolute dream; the transmission is pure butter, banging gears is as smooth as a baby's bottom, and the rev match functionality is incredibly on point. I could write a book on how great the Type R is, and admittedly, I've always been a Honda junky.

All that said, when I first looked at the Emira in person, I knew immediately I had to have it, and that I would have to part ways with my CTR LE, as much as that killed me inside.

Now having owned the Emira for a few months, I have absolutely no regrets. I do miss my CTR LE, and I think about it almost daily, but the Emira was 100% worth the change.

You’re right, f360 with an aftermarket exhaust sounds like a nuclear weapon is approaching lol.

I just saw a preview of stradmans Emira on GRPs story. Looks like he decat+titanium exhaust, so im curious how that translates.

The Emira is so far on the opposite side of the spectrum that describing the differences would fill up several pages. Thus far I cannot be more satisfied with the purchase. Even this community is so very different, in a good way, than the Bimmer online community; hats off to all of you!

The Panoz was a very nice car but with the heat and sun and no air was time to pass it on..

Here’s the old car. 10AE with a Jackson Racing Supercharger. I still have it because at 300 000 km, I wasn’t going to get much for it anyways.

Replaced an Alpine A110S with an Emira V6 Auto.

I was always looking for an Emira. The Alpine came across with a very good offer back in the days that made me cancel my reservation for the Emira in 2023. The process was not going forward and there was no sign of getting a V6 anytime soon. In 2025 I made the change. Still love how the Emira looks and drives. It feels much more special for me in general. Even though both are not comparable driving wise.

Nice. Not comparable, how? Does the Alpine feel considerably lighter?

Yes, light and very agile. It is much easier to drive around town. Not as stable on motor ways and definitely not as planted as a track car. For me the emira is more fun when driving fast. And in general it is a more mature car.
