Itchy feet with the delays - Show me yours

I'm getting itchy feet with the delays and summer passing me by.
Slightly fueled by visiting Lotus in the Peak last weekend
I should be happy as I have my Yaris, but it's more all season than vibes.
I probably won't buy anything now as it makes no sense for 3 months or less.
Interested to know what everyone has SPECIFICALLY purchased as a stop gap though. Not your existing cars but something that you have gone out and bought to 'fill the gap' between your old car going and the new Emira purchase arriving

I know the Emira would an all around better option for my use-case but I don’t think we’ll be seeing any cars here this year…

After I sold my Evora I bought the Elise to temporarily fill the gap in the garage. However I think I will be keeping it when the Emira arrives.

Prices are a bit silly now and with another rate hike expected soon it’ll be a matter of time before they return to typical levels.

Fun to drive (although it seems to want to kill you on every roundabout) cheap to buy and will hold its price.

expensive on parts though should anything go wrong in typical JLR fashion

For now, despite not having a vehicle at all since my other was stolen, I’ve decided not to buy a car for the gap, and instead I’ve rented an MX-5 out of Munich for three weeks and plan to wander around the Alps checking holy grail roads off my bucket list in August / September.

Does that count?

I need to drive one and the Emira in August and decide which is best for me I think. Maybe an Exige as well... justbin case...
