Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Need to exercise caution here, some paint strippers contain dichloromethane! Now banned for use as a paint stripper in most EU countries, but not in others. Dichloromethane (DCM) does not burn and it’s a very aggressive solvent - not the sort of thing you want in your fuel tank!

I was almost entirely joking about people picking up a fuel additive at the hardware store. It is just funny walking the aisles after reading about Toluene and that era in F1 and seeing a metal can and it says Toluene on it just sitting there with the other paint strippers.

I wasn't talking about SAE correction for dynos, I was talking about SAE engine certification which has a very strict tolerance. If I remember right, it's 3% which is not 3 above or 3 below, it's no more than 3% from the stated power rating.
Right but that's on an instrument grade dyno in a lab. Not even installed in a car. It's an academic number that's not going to directly match what happens in the real world.

No we really did toluene mixes in fuel back in the day. Not recommended. Just buy fuel that's made properly to meet the octane and operational parameters that you need.

On a different note. One not involving driving our cars on the dyno quite as much. Has anyone sent their logs back to Burger and asked them to “retune” for extra HP then download back to the JB unit. Is that something that can be done? If so, why don’t a few of us start doing this and see what improved results can be achieved. Certainly the first result is not the best one. Also, if they see enough interest in this they know that all of us will pay a few more pesos for the upgraded tunes.

I don't think it is so much making a "better tune", as much as it would be individualized services for making the tune work better on your particular car.

In which case it always has to be an individual pursuing tuning at extra cost with Burger.

might try to replace the pulley with a slightly smaller one and having them tune in the additional boost.

Pretty much every piece of software I own updates on a regular basis, so it's not hard to imagine (to your point) that the original tune could be improved upon with more data points.
