Did you try removing the intercooler bolts and pushing it back to give you more room to wiggle it loose?

Removing those 4 bolts does nothing, intercooler is attached at top by couple other bolts preventing it from swiveling forward like in BMS instructions. I tried that knowing it probably wouldnt work after studying IC mounts.

Well that's unfortunate. Earlier in this thread a clever member documented using some custom tools to pull out. Might want to try his approach.

Ive been talking with him and i have those tools. And i tried extensively from down below. Again, he’s a magician being able to work in that 1.5 inch corridor. Lol

With this connector being so difficult to access, maybe follow the wires to more accessible location and splice with some water resistant quick connectors.

Ya'll keep figuring out this mess of miscommunication and seat of pants performance boost - once settled I'll hit the buy button :) but for now waaaay too many mysteries.
I don’t see any mysteries. I know there are many piggy’s on the market. But none of them are tuned and tested for an emira with a few preloaded maps. The demo of the car being tested from OEam to map 2 was enough for me to press buy without hesitation.
This solution is perfect for anyone like myself that knows nothing about tuning their own car.

The wires run over the alternator tucked away and hard to get to….lol. But great idea! :)

I gave up for now… live to fight another day. Car’s back together.

Gonna send picture of my ECU label to our previous tuner at Eurocompulsion for our 4Cs and see what kind of magic they can stir up with their Dimsport technology.

Look how many harnesses our i4 ECU has…..lol

I haven't heard of it but from what you described this piggyback could be even better than the JB4, so does it support the Emira?
It's not plug and play for the Emira. It's just a universal piggyback so it would need to be to be installed as a custom fit. So either cutting wires (obviously not ideal) or a harness would need to be made up. Currently out of my scope of skills (although I do have one of these piggybacks that will eventually go into my Toyota Starlet Turbo S, which is a very basic engine to start learning with).

Alright, this officially sucks a$$ for the i4 install.

Tried from below, can't dislodge the plug. Don't know how he reconnected JB4 harness on that 1.5 inch corridor of limited access. That guy should come operate on our Davinci robot at our hospital. Lol

Trying different approach from backseat elrear panel access. I can easily see MAP plug and put 2 fingers on it but can't break suction. F#&k.

As I mentioned before. TDI goes about it differently and is the way I did it. You simply remove the AC compressor push the belt out of the way and you have access
