Emira I4 ECU Flash Tuning is Now Possible (~510HP Turbo)

how many folks (stateside) would be interested in us working on a full tune for this car?
Going to be an arm race soon with all the tuners. I'm in for a ECU tune.

In stead of everyone responding perhaps we use a [thumbs up] on some emote to count interest.
Or VFTuner start a new thread to gauge interest. People like thread titles like 'Group buy'

Yea that's the thing. Emira community is small.

. Emira community is small. If we have to all fight for the tiny group of customers it's just a bad investment for us to go buy a development car. :(
Completely understand.
Your in a tough position.
JB4 guys were basically 1st to market at a reasonable price for most and partnered with Greg; probably saw a lot of sales. Lots of people probably jumped even knowing that an ECU option would be an option one day.

Well.... I am sending a brand new OEM ECU to a tuner here in the States. The guys he collabs with in Italy said "oh yeah we can do that"...
Any i4 owner in Oklahoma want to participate in some R&D?

Not trying to spoil it, but tuners in China had more than a few times with this "oh yeah we can do that", hopefully you have better luck than us.

BFlash has not confirmed support yet....

Officially no. But they can do it. There's a catch, the ECU must be open for disabling RSA encryption. I still prefer the first approach of reading immo data and clone it to an unlocked MG1 from the A45S. I've tuned a few of those A45 S with M139 and the potential is huge.

even then it still likely needs to be sent out for an unlock.

it's not like the much easier Merc ECUs where cal data is just directly flashable, no unlocking need :(

if Emira guys are willing to commit to work with us I will go buy an i4 Emira right now, figure out all the cloning requirements myself, put it on our dynapak, and build out an amazing calibration.
if interested, see here:

we will be looking at offering it with our VF Tuner wiflash device as well so you can swap maps over the OBDII Port like we do on Mercedes ECU Aston Martins.

I bought a hexprog II and a45s amg ecu and trying my luck on cloning. If I can clone, I will most likely send it to vf tuner for further tuning.

There are a lot of Mg1cp unlocks in Europe but the question is if they can unlock the lotus one. It’s said it has additional locks on it from Mercedes so until someone can show hard evidence they can unlock the lotus mg1cp, then I’ll keep forging ahead on cloning my own ecu

This is our plan as well. ECU cloning is going to be a go to anyway because we want to have OBD Flashability which these cloned units will have.

Correct.

Likely the best case for folks would be like this:
> Ship ECU to tuner > Tuner ships to Blfash > Blflash returns to tuner > Tuner tunes ecu > Tuner returns ECU to you.
So you'd potentially be able to do that for me here is Australia?????

see here, we are getting it all setup for you guys. As far as australia spec, I would have to first determine if they have something USDM vehicles don't. (For example some may have GPFs, or such)

Do you know if your Aston Martin has a CPC module for the M177 engine? From my understanding, Mercedes has an extra module that limits the amount of power the ECU maps requests and if you want the full potentially, you will also need an unlocked/cracked/aftermarket CPC module. I’m curious if manufacturers who use Mercedes engines still have this CPC module

They do not. This CPC module works in conjuction with AMG transmissions which the Astons do not have.
(excluding the DB11 which does).

Oh, good for Aston, but I believe our emiras use the AMG transmission 🥲
I do not think we have determined yet if a CPC module is used on these. Even if so, the CPC module doesn't limit "any" extra gains it just limits extravagant gains.

I have the GRP Titanium full exhaust and the GRP sports catted downpipe if that helps!
